with most reputable companies, you'd have to pass the AIM test (it's a standard adult industry medical test where they sweep for all major STDs and make the results available to anyone with the proper pass code. All the Fratmen who are at the Fratpad get tested for everything before they're allowed to do any kind of interaction with each other.)

Hard to say, really.

How did you get into the business? I'm assuming it wasn't through the classified section of the local paper asking for a pornographer.
 
I was a film major in college and I studied editing.

I wanted to move to Hollywood and edit movie trailers.

Yeah, I know.. sounds crazy, but that's what I watned to do.

I met a guy in the building I lived in who worked for an adult site who was looking for a viral-marketing guy who could do html. I knew just enough to get by, and he hired me. I didnt' last long in that position before my skill as an editor was called upon and I was asked to start editing their main features.

I did that for a bit before my relationship fell to pieces and I decided to move to LA and start my life over again.

I posted on a forum that I was looking for work in LA and a friend of mine in Australia who also knew my boss hooked the two of us up.

I moved to LA three weeks later and have worked for Fratmen ever since.
 
Why do most of the porn studios use the old Hollywood studio system? What I mean is there was a time in Hollywood that stars made movies for only one studio i.e. "the standard 7 year contract"

so if there was a part of a life time for a star at another studio its was not up to the star to do the part, but the studio had to give permission if the star could do that.

Today it is diffrent they are now now free agents when it come to what studio the do a movie for. Wouldn't most of today's porns star like to have the same options as today's mainstream stars have?
 
yes they would.

But most porn companies would prefer to have exclusive models. We dont' use people if they've worked for other companies and we have deals with most of the other big studios (Sean Cody Jake Cruise, Randy Blue and a bunch of others) that we wont' use each other's models.

Fratmen's image of hot young midwestern guys would be damaged if our guys showed up on another site getting their asses plowed and cum blown in their faces, don't you think?

not really. But it's about 10 times more than the figures that most people around here throw around for how much porn stars make per movie. Some of the Fratmen, if they're wise and don't throw away all their cash, have been able to pay for college and set up a really nice nest egg for their retirement.

A bunch of stuff. First, he's got to be available. People keep asking why obvious stars like Max, Payne, Connor and Trey aren't at the pad. The reason is that they're university students taking classes in other states and aren't available to move to Hollywood.

Second, he's gotta be out-going and personable. Virtually all of the Fratmen want to come to the pad. We have to choose guys who are going to be good on camera and interact with the guys well. The whole point of Fratpad is watching the show.. a bunch of hot guys together isn't going to be any fun if they're not getting alond like a bunch of Frat brothers... We've had to send guys home for many reasons and one of them is being a jerk and going out of their way to create problems with the other guys.

Third, he's gotta be reliable. If he's spending all his time out partying with Britney and Paris or Andy Dick(yes, Andy Dick really is a creepy loser, Britney is that much of a drunken mess and Paris really is that stupid), they're not going to be on camera when they're supposed to be.

Oh, and we have to like him, think he's exceptionally hot and want to work with him.
