OK.. first of all.. we're not REALLY going to have a site like that..

the guy Joe is talking about is Joe.. he and I were mistaken for either boyfriends or brothers at the Phoenix convention. The site idea is a joke... I'd never do a site like that for a lot of reasons... biggest one being that it would be in violation of my work agreement with Fratmen that I won't work for any other adult company.

That being said.. I'm sure we'd make a killing.

Isn't "Playgirl" really meant to be for women? I know that the content appeals to gay men as well but I am talking pure and simple gay porn programming. Not hot men meant to be for women's eyes but it's OK if men like it too (kinda accidental gay porn programming in a sense.)
I didn't know they had a channel, either.

Why would it be bad for porn to not be a taboo? (Just want your opinion on it).

Have you just arrived from planet clueless? Women don't care about pornography; they are not turned on by seeing people having sex . Pornography is something that appeals to men, either gay or straight. Men are aroused by visuals, while women are aroused by emotions. This is the key difference between male and female sexuality. The consumers of porn are almost all men, while the consumers of romantic novels are almost exclusively women. The bottom line is this: men want sex, while women want relationships.

wrong.

stacy IS woman........and so am I.

I certainly DO care about pornography, I have a very large collection of videos on my laptop, a dozen or so full length DVDs and a lot of books.

how do YOU know what women like?

I HATE romantic novels with a passion, if I am reading something other than stephen king or jeffrey deaver......then its porn, gay erotica to be exact. I am not aroused by emotions, what kind of crap is that?! "oh....look, they are in love....that makes me so horny"... as if.

not ALL women want relationships, and even those that do can still appreciate really good sex when they see it.

please dont make rash generalisation about a gender, we dont do it to you so dont do it to us.

hhhmmm

i should probably ask a question to stay on topic:

hhmmmm

i am seriously considering going to a sci-fi convention near my home town at the end of month cos i am a bit of a geek hehehe, ever been to one?

Every rule has it's exceptions. You need to comprehend that I'm talking about averages here...

how do YOU know what women like?

Statistics. Ask any retailer who buys porn, and they will tell you that 99% of the people who buy it are male. Now ask book store owners who purchase most romance novels, and they will tell you that 99% of buyers are female. Logic and facts are my friends...

Sorry, sweetheart, but I am not aware of many women who masturbate to pictures of dicks and naked men. Most of the consumers of male nudity are gay men, and most consumers of porn, either of the guy-on-girl or guy-on-guy, are men.

not ALL women want relationships, and even those that do can still appreciate really good sex when they see it.

The women who don't want babies and a family are rare exceptions. Most career women who never tied the not women become frustrated when they reach middle age...

please dont make rash generalisation about a gender, we dont do it to you so dont do it to us.

What is wrong with generalizations? They tell us what groups of people tend to be like. Again, there are individual exceptions.

^^^ very much.

"Sorry, sweetheart, but I am not aware of many women who masturbate to pictures of dicks and naked men."

how many women have you asked? how many women do you think would actually openly admit it?

and no, i dont think generalizations "tell us what groups of people tend to be like"

i hear endless generalisations about how girls are 'supposed' to act at my age, what women are meant think, and now its even come to porn! jeez, its bad enough that people assume a woman of my age should be in a relationship or should have been another underaged mother on benefits 9 years ago. I thought that at least in porn I could be left the hell alone to think and feel what I want without being told i am "an individual exception"......if this is the case then I know an aweful lot of 'individual exceptions'.

your not a gay man (or a women who is considered unusual for enjoying porn) so you wont know how it feels for them to have generalisations thrown at them about how theyare 'meant' to act, generalisations are nothing more than stereotypes with fancier names

Not true. As a general rule... that's got a lot of fact behind it but there are plenty of female members of Fratmen and plenty of female members of Playgirl.

You seem to really like Toronto.
Do you plan to ever move back? Or are you happy and willing to stay in LA?
just curious

Never moving back... not married to LA... I like it here but I also love San Francisco and Palm Springs and many other places.

i am seriously considering going to a sci-fi convention near my home town at the end of month cos i am a bit of a geek hehehe, ever been to one?

I went to a comic convention once. It was fun... I got a bunch of books and comics..

I also went to a CD collector's convention.. got LOTS of stuff.

I'll tell you .. I used to LOVE being a collector. I had thousands of comics and CDs and hundreds of vinyl records and books. I had to sell it all or just give it away before I moved to Los Angeles.

You're close to right, maybe.

But it's not 99%. Fratmen, as far as we can tell, has about 15-20% female members. We have a high amount, like Playgirl too, because we're solo and the content has the broad appeal of "Made for people who want to see hot men naked."

Some times the new guys will ask "is it mostly girls or guys who watch this?"

I'll always tell them this... "We don't check ID at the door... our movies are for people who want to see hot men naked and you're a hot man... there will be gay men, sexually open couples, horny college girls and lots of bachelorettes who'll get your DVD as a gift before they get married."

the guys like to hear that it's not JUST gay men who are going to see them.. and I'm not lying.. I get orders from women all the time.

i am a big buffy geek (yes, i know, how tragic but i cant help it, its really good!) and its soo rare for a convention to appear near enough to me that i can go :D i might just indulge my inner dork and go.

is there any part of your collection that you really miss?

I had the biggestEurythmics collection in history, I think. I had about 200 records.

My Batman comics took up about 30 boxes. I just gave it all away.

I had every AC/DC recording there was... the Australian imports and independent stuff..

All the Nirvana records... MAN, I miss those.

Don't you just hate it when faceless cowards try and tell you what you're supposed to act like?

You are way out of line calling me a "faceless coward" because I made a post simply commenting on a fact that is well supported by statistics and data. You are getting emotional over a discussion that should be purely logical. I will accept your aplogy when you're man enough to give it.

never considered started up the collection again?

No.

the one thing that I learned is that the only way to go forward is to not look back... the only way to grow up is to give away the toys. I hung on to a few things but most are gone. Feels good.

OK.. I have a rule.. my threads are not allowed to descend into flame wars. This thread was supposed to be fun and educational.

I'd talk about what makes my life so normal. I don't want to argue about who's buying Fratmen movies.

"Sorry, sweetheart, but I am not aware of many women who masturbate to pictures of dicks and naked men."

I don't need to ask, because the sales statistics for porn supports my contention. Sorry if you don't like it, but facts are facts. If women enjoyed masturbating to pictures of dicks, then they would be purchasing pornographic material featuring dicks, but they are not.

and no, i dont think generalizations "tell us what groups of people tend to be like"

It is an established that the overwhelming majority of women want to get married and have children. This is a valid generalization. I can prove it by pointing out that magazines that catter to women are filled with articles on how making a man tie the knot, and that books teaching women how to get a husband sell millions of copies.

your not a gay man (or a women who is considered unusual for enjoying porn) so you wont know how it feels for them to have generalisations thrown at them about how theyare 'meant' to act, generalisations are nothing more than stereotypes with fancier names

Again, I am arguing logic and your respond with emotion. Generalizations and stereotypes exist because they are true. Generalizations don't apply only to gay men or women, but to all different groups of people. For instance, are the stereotypes that men who work at the computer industry tend to be nerdy, or that blacks are good at basketball, false?

I am on vacation and don't really feel like dealing with any of your bullshit Dduder. But I will tell you that I am tired of you attacking me.

You want to attack me for my opinions come to me directly.

Ugh...where did I attack you? I just said that you were clueless for stating that guy-on-guy porn catters to women. That is definitely not a personal attack in any way, shape or form. Don't you think you are taking this way too personally?
