Who selects the "art" work for the sets?..... and when are they going to toss/auction off or burn that thing on the wall in this pic?

What is the 'most' you've ever done in front of a camera?

Is stuff like what you're doing in that link above - massaging, giving BJ - as far as you will go when you appear in a scene yourself?

No, I did a full nude scene with Adam Russo for the site we're launching together and I still get offers to perform. I might. We'll see.

Rob Romoni wrote on his blog that Tyler Ford abruptly quit the industry after being outed to his family as well as his employer finding out. Lately I've been seeing a lot of hit and run performers doing a bunch of scenes and then quickly disappearing. Is what happened to Tyler Ford, happening to them? I've heard that a lot of performers flat out quit when Porn Wiki Leaks came out.

I heard that about Tyler Ford, too. Then I heard it was 100% bullshit and that he had just gotten a job that he felt paid him enough and kept him busy enough to not work in porn. So I don't' know what to believe.

Yes, the Porn Wikileaks thing did scare a few people away. But not many. Personally, I was a bit upset to not have them call me a pornographic gay whore and hooker.

People make porn for a lot of reasons, very often to pay for school or just make ends meet. Some guys do it for the fun and adventure and travel and some do it to promote their work as personal trainers or escorts.

As a producer do you give newcomers a "are you sure you know what you are getting yourself into?" talk before they do a scene? Are performers naive as far as people finding out goes? I mean Tyler Ford shot a large volume of scenes for many different companies in his short time in the industry, someone was bound to recognize him.

I have had that "are you sure you know what you're getting in to" talk with people. But I'm not a scout or in casting so usually by the time I meet them, that conversation is long over. I always tell people that if it would be the end of the world if someone found out... don't do it. They're always going to find out.

That picture is a bit of a running joke.

It's shown up in about 30 porn studio's stuff and we used to play with it... turning it al four ways, sometimes sticking it in the back of a totally unrelated set, once flipping it around and using it as a bed head...

Yeah, it's ugly but I always figured that if the bad IKEA art on the wall was that distracting, you should probably find a porn you like better.

I would agree with what you said - *except that regulations only benefit the largest companies, they rarely benefit small time media companies, small time business, entrepreneurs, let alone consumers.
I mean... I've never worked for a huge media corporation. Porn studios tend to be small operations. And many don't have the resources to go after every pirate but not going after them will destroy them.*
Jasun, be careful what you wish for.

My understanding of the law is that, if the copyright owner chooses to, they could get YouTube entirely shut down and confiscated because there's a group of adults singing 40 seconds of a Beatles song without permission at a birthday party. I assume it's theoretically possible that a porn site could be shut down because there happens to be an unauthorized glimpse of Kraft Velveeta sitting on a shelf near the bed in a PORN video. JUB could have been shut down because somebody on here, once, chose to call himself SwifferWetJet. Be careful of any unauthorized uses of Coca-Cola anywhere, because they aggressively work to protect their trademark. If somebody in here were to come from Brigham Young University and his avatar had him in a BYU jersey, JUB would be toast if word got to BYU - their logo on a porno site? No, they wouldn't permit that to happen...EVER. If somebody edits a wikipedia article about The Koch Brothers and says anything which disparages them at all, watch them get wiki shut down...immediately.

Shoot first, don't even think of asking questions later (or ever).

If the new law were to be enforced vigorously, there would be NOTHING left on the internet which we enjoy.

I think any porno studios who are online would prefer the status quo (even if they fall 17% short of their potential profits because of piracy and sharing), than to be all taken down by those who hate us, and would GLADLY use the fringes of the new law to make sure we all go away.

I know it could lead to this... But I'll tell you now that it's a lot more than 17% we're talking about. Many studios have gone under and a lot of people have lost their jobs.

YouTube was launched about 6 years ago and the whole point was to allow people to host their videos for free... But there were no rules about posting copyrighted material. They raked in millions of dollars on the backs of the people who created their content.

We take YouTube for granted now but before, we had to host our own videos and had to take responsibility for what we posted. Yes, it sucks if you don't know how to build a site but... If you want to post videos... Post videos and only ones you own.

Yeah... Totally sucks. And it's a very klunky law that won't pass and probably won't survive a challenge if it does.

But I hope that it does lead to rules and laws that stop people from making money by driving content creators out of business..

Do you ask the performers to refrain from having sex with anyone for a certain period of time before doing the scene? So that they will be more horny and thus more intense? Or do you ask them to not ejaculate for a certain period before filming, so that they will have more cum to shoot?

Yeah... usually we ask for 3-4 days.

Jasun, how come in some of your posts, you have an asterisk at the end of each paragraph with no footnote at the end of your posts?*

Having read many, many papers and pieces of classic literature with asterisks, daggers, etc. at the end of paragraphs leading to a citation at the end, I find myself instantly scrolling to the bottom of your post to see a footnote.*

:p

Me too, both the scrolling down for the footnote and the wondering about it.*

* When I promise a footnote, by gum, I deliver!

I already explained this a couple pages back but I guess it's going to be a thing.

I mostly use my iPad to post.

I dont' talk about it much but I'm losing the sight in one of my eyes due to an untreatable eye condition that I started to notice about 4 years ago, around the time I left Fratmen. I'm also dyslexic so reading, which used to be one of my favorite past times, isn't really possible for me anymore. I use the text editor on my iPad because I can make it bigger so I can see it. I guess the text editor also drops in those weird *s all over the place. It's annoying.

Yes. Going blind sucks, especially when all you ever wanted to do with your life was make movies and take pictures. Especially now that I'm one of three men in the whole gay porn industry with experience directing in 3D. I still have quite a while before I'll even have to think about stopping that and there may be a treatment by then. Life isn't fair but I've had a better life than most because of my "fuck it, I want it, I'm going to go get it" attitude that's served me well. I'm sure even walking around with dark glasses and a cane I'd still get more out of life than most people do. I'm like that.

Maybe you could be world renowned as the Beethoven Of Porn?

I'm sure that you'll be able to have your vision corrected with stem cell therapy one day. While you're at it, you'll probably be able to get "vaccinated" against HIV.

Face it, Jasun; you're just a wave of the fewcha.

I'm really not sure how to take that.

Sideways.

Wasn't an insult, if you read into it that way. Just saying that, at this rate, people will be able to do a lot of cool shit.

What was the last song you had stuck in your head?

Your post count is almost 22k, congrats on it's turning ..|

What is the biggest change of outlook you've had being here on JUB for the last 6 years?

This is going to make me sound like a douche but I think it's helped me realize why I like my life. While some would rather just whine about how unfair life is, I would rather go out and live it how it comes.
