Well its almost 4 am and this for sure isnt a rare happening for me i normally stay up this late and if anyone here has heard of asperger's its a form of high functioning Autism it is also known as Genius syndrome but i have a friend who has it and has been tested and he says i have most of the symptoms but i have no clue where or who to even talk to to find out where to get tested at to find out

Your best bet would be to seek professional help. Remember that asbergers people tend to not be able to be diplomatic, and that he may be doing some simple transference. I would seek out a cognitive-behavioral therapist. They're all PhDs, and they can do wonders with the willing.

I have Asperger's Sydnrome but I'm self diagnosed. In order to learn about it, I suggest googling it and reading as much as you can. The trouble about learning about Asperger's Syndrome is that almost everything depends on the person. For example by percentage there are a lot more aspies(Aspy: a person with Asperger's Syndrome) who don't like looking at other people's eyes so in some places you may read that aspies can't look at other people's eyes but that's not completely true. There are many aspies who are comfortable looking at other people's eyes.

However the 2 most common traits that most aspies share are these:
1-Being very involved, almost obsessed with one or more hobbies(and knowing almost everything about them).
2-Aspies either don't like or have problems socialising compared to other people.

As a start you may browse www.aspiesforfreedom.com
They also have a very good forum where you can talk to other aspies:

ya when i do talk to people i never even look in the general area of their face i normally look around the room and such in terms of hobbies mainly chemistry and computers

Being uncomfortable looking at eyes, computers and being gay are populer among us aspies :) I mean not all aspies are gay but a higher percentage of aspies are gay and bisexual compared to neurotypicals(non-aspies).

One thing to keep in mind is that it is not an illness or a disorder. We are just different just like black people and blonde people are different but blonde people or black people are not better than the other just because they're blonde or black. There are cons and pros of Asperger's Syndrome but they vary greatly depending on the individual.

Excuse me Sir, you say that if you have aspergers syndrome one is uncomfortable looking at eyes, computers etc.
There is a guy in the UK suffering with that condition and yet, some years ago he was capable of hacking into our Country's military sites and causing us much damage.
So, how come that you say you are uncomfortable looking at computers.
He was definitely not uncomfortable looking at his computer and the resulting damage he caused to us.

"causing us much damage." God, he hardly caused "much damage". The whole situation with Gary McKinnon is a load of rubbish and they are just trying to make a song and dance about it. Don't you think it's pretty poor some guy with Aspergers could hack into government networks? They should be thankful he wasn't trying to cause damage. I bet if he was American he'd be working for them now. But let's not get political...

Self diagnosis is not a good thing to do, it's always better to get a professional opinion. It's not a big deal anyway, it's just a label. A good friend of mine has Aspergers, and yes he does have Aspergerisms but he wouldn't be him without them. If anything we all have a laugh about it. If you want to get some advice then go for it but it won't change who you are.

I think he meant that people with Aspergers tend to be into computers, not find them hard to look at. I have the same friend Kins123 has and I am glad he has Apergers as it does make him who he is and he wouldn't be the same without it. We have another acquaintance with it too and he seems to be doing really well with computers. That Garry McKinnon thing is just so fucking stupid. Poor American Govt are all embarrassed that he managed to get in and are making a big song and dance about it to divert from their shit security. He was trying to find info on UFO's which was one of his Aspergers interests. If they had any sense they would shut the fuck up and pay him a load of money to sort out their security.

Your doctor would definitely know more, but ASD affects different people in very different ways. In my experience, severe Asperger's can impede one's life and social skills more so than high-functioning autism, despite being referred to as such. And their narrow interests certainly don't have to be computers.

All very true. I was diagnosed as a kid and it has messed with my life.

Luckily though my repetitive interest is not narrow, but all encompassing.

To the OP you should talk to a doctor. If you ever want to talk write me a IM. Also there are a lot of people on JUB with AS.

I want that guy in the uk brought to the usa to answer for his crimes against our Country.

We have been very patient up to now considering that his crimes happened some years ago.

Perhaps any medical reason given regarding this guy is to gain our sympathy.

Please do not believe it because this guy is guilty, and if the uk say he is too ill to travel to the USA we could hold the trial in the us embassy in london before an American judge and before an American jury.
