Asshole pain

I might have a medical problem which has been really hard to identify.

For while now, I have very sharp pain in my asshole. Really sharp, like a needle beeing stuck in there. It´s a bit hard to describe; it usally in one side of the hole, never the whole ring. And it ALWAYS happens when I'm asleep. Never when I'm awake.

Could it be hemmorrhoids? I've done a lot of research on hemmorrhoids and the symptoms described are nothing like what I have.

Sometimes the pain is so hard, I have to walk for a little while to disctract me from the pain.

I should probably go to the doctor, but I don't even know what kindd of doctor. A proctologist? A urologist?

For some time I thought it might have been a prostate problem, but I don't know.

Just so you know, I have only been fucked twice, both times over a year ago, so don't believe it's an anal sex injury.

I'm a bit worried, and don't know what to do. Mostly, I need to get some sleep!

Does anyone know what it could be?

Cheers!

I would recommend seeing your primary-care physician/GP first. He may refer you to a specialist.

Let your regular doctor see what's going on. If needed, he will send you to a specialist. Just get to the doctor. It is pointless to stay in pain and worry. It may be something very minor like an infected wart that can be taken care of with an antibiotic.

i read somewhere that hemorrhoids can cause sharp stining pains, but only for a brief moment. your doctor is your best option.

SEE A DOCTOR MAN.. straight away... it's probably something that can be treated easlily.. but see the doc.. and then you will have your mind (and ass) at rest..

I sometimes have a strange unidentifiable pain from that area. It gives me the shivers. It only happens once or twice a year and there's no other symptoms.

I mention it to my GP when I have my yearly blood-test and checkup and he says it's probably just a muscle 'stitch'.

Once I had hemorrhoids, which was extremely painful. One part of the anus felt different, sharper pain than the hemorrhoids. I also had a little rash, which the doctor said was shingles. When I described the different pain to the doctor, he said it looked like herpes. Yikes!

He tested the sore and it came back positive for herpes. Unfortunately, he didn't ask for a test for the specific type of herpes. My blood test came back negative for both types of herpes, type 1 and 2. At my age, 90% of people have herpes 1. Three months later, test came back negative again for both types of herpes. By that time, I was seeing infectious disease doctor. He said he was 100% certain I didn't have herpes. The original test was supposed to be 100% accurate. I explained to him the proctologist said I also had shingles brought on by the hemorrhoids. He said that, since shingles is also herpes, (i.e. herpes zoster), that's what would have caused the positive result. Note: anyone who has had chicken pox is infected with herpes zoster.

The moral of the story, go to the doctor. Have a herpes test, make sure the doctor orders a test specifying the type. I went through a lot of unnecessary grief for three months because the doctor failed to order the right test.
