  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

At what age should men stop wearing ripped jeans?

They look terrible on anyone of any age.

Omg - haven't seen anybody wearing ripped jeans since 1998! Grunge died fast in the Pacific Northwest.

Torn clothes, underwear as outerwear, and waistbands worn below the butt are all ghastly "fashions."

I do not find them youthful or the province of the young. They are simply fashion fails for every age.

HOWEVER, if that is what you like, you wear it, as it is your right.

80 82 maybe.

Listen to the cabbage eaters. They understand the benefits of ventilation.

Actually, I just read that every Summer, from now on, will be hotter than the last.

Do what you gotta do.

I don't think that there is an age, but instead an appropriate time and place and look. If the tears are from usage, it is okay for work times. For dress, no one should wear torn jeans, except maybe those under 30 can get away with it if it happens to be the style.

I don't think that torn jeans are an age thing, but a time and place appropriate thing. If they are torn from work and not too revealing, they are okay for work, but if they are for dress no one should wear torn jeans except that those under 30 can get away with it if it is a fashion at the time.

I haven't worn jeans since I was a young child and I SURE as hell wouldn't wear them now.......especially with rips........ #-o

Only if they've ripped because of wear. And even then I'd say early 20s. Better yet, not at all.

They came back in fashion at least twice, the penultimate time accompanied by jeans with fake grass stains. Where we live it was never working men or women who normally wear jeans only middle class folks.

Maybe to be super sure it should be the last nanosecond before conception!

That would be preventing, rather than stopping

What's the difference?

Mediocrity, lack of imagination, even bigger "sense of fashion" and, most important, easiest way to make quick and bigger money.

Working class people actually wear whole jeans as workwear. Being an Iberian, the concept of ´work´ might be a little tricky for you.

Considering that the Anglo-Dutch world established shallow public random gossiping and story-telling in media outlets, or rebranding other people's products, as "work", yes, might be

^ Don´t take any responsibility for those people selling churros as fast food at our local flea markets.

^ You mean "churros" as in "botched up piece of work", not as in "Spanish-style deep-fried dough".

^ When they can hardly produce proper churros in Spain anymore, one wonders what would they be selling abroad under that name :rotflmao:
