Did your body start to creak and groan?

I am 37, but I do it so much and so loud I scare people. They think it is a gun going off sometimes. I find it somewhat funny and somewhat embarrassing.

Sometimes I feel like the Tinman and I need to oil my joints.

Im 55 and I would say I was 50 when I started to notice. I see my dads face (shudder), just kidding, maybe, in my face

My ambulation has changed just this year. I sit long hours at work, and try to get up frequently to move about, but it isn't enough. When I do get up, I'm stiff and my steps can be tender or just less agile after sitting for two hours, or more. I don't feel that at home on my days off.

However, I don't make any noises other than the odd grunt putting on socks or something in private. So far, my joints don't make noise.

They’re saying sitting is the new smoking. Maybe you could get one of those stand up desks so you can get up for part of the day...

I get some shoulder, back and hip pains, it started perhaps in my late 50's. The only thing that slows me down is if my back acts up. I can't run any longer as my left knee gives me grief when I do. I try to walk as fast as I can at all times and make a practice of parking my car away from the store or building I have gone to.

I'm only 34 but I can feel my body hurting little bit I'm doing stuff like cleaning and getting up I can feel it in my back ahhhh

I don't get any pops or cracks yet but the secretary I work with sure does. She sounds like a machine gun when she walks. She blames it on being a gymnast when she was young. I think she'd in her early 50's.

It is sad we don't think about what we do to our bodies when young. My doctors have told me I never should have did the lines of work I did.

Now at just under 30, mind you most of it's because i've blown one of my knees out.

Lol ... I am 33, and every single morning my ankles and knees snap, crackle, and pop to the point when my then 3 y.o. son asked me, "Are you breaking?" Ha ha, I don't know what gives, but I am grateful that it is as of yet pain-free.

That's great.

Over 50.

Ran my first half-marathon a couple weeks ago.

Not into creaks and groans.

I would say things started to creak and groan after I hit 50. My penis, however, is just the same as when I was 18. No, stop laughing, I am serious.

No noises, but occasionally I am slow to start walking or almost limp for a few steps when I get up. Stooping or getting on my knees is a little problem and then my knees occasionally crack, but I think of it as normal. Yes, I have grunted, especially when using my knees.

This is news to me. My parents are in their mid-to-late seventies and I don't hear any creaks or groans from them, nor do they complain about any ailments of this sort. Never noticed it in any older friends either. I realized a couple of years ago that I had lost some flexibility--so I started working on it and now I'm back to where I had been in, say, my late twenties.

Your parents must be lucky then. Most people I know have issues and pain.
