I swear the majority of the men I am attracted to are straight. I like that masculine characteristic that you find in most straight guys, you know watching sports, and guy flixs etc. Like there is this one guy at the gym that I'm really in to. This guy is fucken gorgeous and a really nice guy. He's polite and courteous, and always nice to me, which obviously doesn't mean he's gay. As much as I like this dude I'm not gonna try and figure out if he's gay or not. Previously when I found out that my crushes were straight it kind of hurt.
 
I've found a lot of straight acting guys for fuck buddies and friends...not at the gym though ;)

I am invariably attracted to straight guys... give me a roomful of good-looking men, and I can tell you which ones are straight by exactly how attractive I find them. I mean, remember that risible Bravo show Boy Meets Boy? Where the producers shoved three straight guys in there to "add interest" (but actually made the show end really stupidly)? I had those three straight guys pegged by the end of the first show... they were the ones I thought the hottest.

But it's not "masculinity" or anything so stupid (as if there's no such thing as a masculine gay man nor an effeminate straight... you people don't get out much, do you?), it's just that I have an infallible sixth sense for the unavailable, and find unavailability hot. I also have a well-trained female sensibility (raised by women, reading women's books and magazines, watching soap operas), so it makes sense that someone who makes himself attractive to women will also make himself attractive to me.

There's also the sheer numbers of them. Can't discount that.

If you do the math, you will find it's not that difficult to understand. Take 100 random men that you find attractive and gather them in a group. Only 10 of them are gay. The odd are stacked against you right from the start and the odds of picking a gay man are only 1 in 10.

It's not a matter of being attracted to a straight man. It just that the odds beat you.

It's not worth beating yourself up over. As difficult as it seems for you to be head-over-heals for a straight guy, I'm sure it's happened to every single one of us at one time or another.

Not all straight guys can be converted. And it takes alot of patience and skill for conversion to take place.

An opposite for man can be woman. However not all men are gay and not all men are straight. So you cant use man in general to make your "point".

I was simply saying a gay man is attracted to a straight man knowing that he can never have him because the man is straight, why can't it be possible for a straight man to be attracted to a gay man knowing he can never be with him for whatever reason. For most of his life the gym guy could very well be straight, thats ofcourse until he met the guy that changed his whole idea of love. With love anything is possible and all he can do is talk to the gym guy and see where things stand. All this straight/gay/bisexual labels dont factor in when talking about LOVE.
