Austin & San Antonio

spider house is excellent as a gathering place. let's pass on the hookah bar idea though.

douseiai - so true. no matter what is ultimately decided, it would be great fun to meet all our Central Texas (and others who could actually make it here) members.

depending on how my schedule is, id like to go as well.

isn't spider house sometimes kinda crowded? also, i never got the feeling that it was the place for a group to meet at. but, that's just me. i personally can't think of anywhere else more appropriate though.

Alright guys, here's the deal. I've got a job interview in Albuquerque at that end of this month, which means that if I get it I'll have to fly into Austin/San Antonio for the meet. Let's make it a weekend, hopefully around the time I get my tax return. ;)

I always file early, so Febuary is looking good!

(*8*)

Tell me more about this Spider House. ^

Is the first weekend of February too early? I tend to have more cash at the first of the month. ;)

Spider house is this coffee house that serves alcohal they have a lot of places to sit but he is right it is kinda crowded though is good for group meets if you establish you area... they have a patio with music they have another with a movie and then inside which is loud but pleasant enough... I am pretty new to austin so I don't know whats around...

first weekend is fine by me :)

hm, i wont be here, but it happens i guess. school and such prevents me from being around SA an austin much. So im in town till the second weekend in Jan. If u guys wanna go out somtime before then, i'd prolly be up for it.

or maybe we could do some sort of informal meet and greet next weekend. ie the weekend right before the new year. ? anyone up for it.

I'd love to but I'll be out of town for the holidays. :(

i think you're going to see more of us not available that weekend than in town, shyguyy9. it's a good thought though.

well , if not i'll be in austin the next weekend too. prolly during the week a few days too. let me know guys.

Count me in!(!)

I'm available all weekends in January and possibly Feb. I'm sure I can work anything out though as long as I have some sort of advance notice.

So have we nailed down an exact weekend yet?

I'm still checking my calendar, and I'll need to know when to pencil things in.

I currently live 2 hours away, so I may need to book a room, and rent a car!

:D

I thought the consensus was the first weekend of February? That's what I've been planning on myself.

So first weekend of February? I'm game for that although I think it will still be too cold :P

We also have to keep in mind that any bars and/or night clubs that we may go to have to allow 18 and up for those jubbers under 21! :D

to my dispair... my car is currently... kinda broken... first weekend of february would hopefully work out fine for me pick a date so i can get directions for everyone for wherever we wish to go... which needs to be narrowed down...
