I am very surprised by this.
Just imagine how North Korea feel as it is surrounded by weapons trying to attack it ??

Some diplomats called Australia "weasels"
Weasels are predators often kill more prey than they can eat, storing the overkill for later consumption.

Do you agree "weasels" is the right word to describe Australia ??

Well, if the Kims would like to put more pressure on the US to withdraw it's nuclear arms from the Pacific they could start by not being such unbelievable assholes in front of the entire world.

There is another definition of 'weasel' other than the creature.

the topic is why Australia oppose nuclear weapon ban
and other diplomats called Australia weasels.

You asked if I agree with other diplomats calling Australia 'weasels'. I answered your question by reminding you that there are more than one definition to the word. I don't agree with your definition, but it's possible that the other definition applies.

How about Canada?
It oppose nuclear weapon ban too ?

Don't change the subject.

No gsdx,
the topic applies to all countries.
Which countries oppose nuclear weapon ban and which countries for nuclear weapon ban!!!!

If you have no comment about Canada's position,
Canada is also weasels in my opinion.

We cannot prevent countries from developing them as we cannot prevent No Korea and Iran. So the only deterrent or prevention of the use of them is other nuclear weapons. If NK uses a nuclear bomb we will have little choice but to use other such bombs to destroy their ability. Until we can prevent the development the ban is meaningless.

rareboy complicated words from the link doesn't say much and i know Canada is protected by the US like Australia. So the simple question is, Canada support nuclear weapon ban or not, its a simple yes or no answer.

Canada is a member of every international disarmament organization and is committed to pushing for an end to nuclear weapons testing, reduction in nuclear arsenals, a ban on all chemical and biological weapons, bans on weapons in outer space, and blocks on nuclear proliferation.

From the article.

baby steps,
if everyone is "frown" on nuclear weapons ... sooner or later nuclear weapons will be gone.

"Canada is pushing to end nuclear weapons testing ..." is not the same as "nuclear weapons ban"
So the answer is not complete yet :)

The answer is complete. This is the current Canadian position on nuclear weapons.
