We had a yummy barbie lunch with friends, including a magnificent pavlova for dessert. Had to take a pic of the pav before we demolished it ....

At the moment (late afternoon) I'm relaxing in front of the telly with a beer, watching our Aussie cricketers doing not so well against the South Africans in the one dayer in Adelaide. In a couple of hours we're off to another friend's place for more celebrations & partying, and to watch the fireworks at 9.30pm.

The flag is fluttering proudly from our balcony ...

You can gain Australian citizenship on other days. They choose to make a big thing of it on Australia Day.
