Sir Patrick Stewart is a fine looking man at 79. But Star Trek: Picard makes him act like he's 99! So far all I've done is cringe when Patrick is on camera.
Maybe after I watch episode two my opinion will change, but for now I have a bad feeling about this new series. Kinda slow indeed!

I got that impression just from the still shot in the video.
They have a history of not dealing with age well in that series. Tried to make Spock into some venerable old something. If it waxes transcendent, it loses the vitality of the youngish aspect of exploring and fighting, the two pillars of the series.
