That trailer was incredible and when a trailer alone could win Best Picture its obvious that the move would be something special.

Even if the nominations were still 5 Avatar would have made the cut.

The Taylor Swift of movies. If they had the original five slots this would have been a long shot.

I went to see it at the cinema last sunday. It was absolutely mind blowing, loved it so so much. Me and the bf thought it was the best film of the year without a doubt!

I actually saw it last Thurs. with someone who had seen it 5 times already and I have to say it was out of this world crazy good. The 3D was incredible, not intrusive. Just gorgeous to look at and the story was really good - the message is universal. It should be picture of the year - and truthfully on a grand scale I have not seen the likes of this since The Rings trilogy.

Looking back at this forum is so funny. I agree to some extent though that the hype generated over this movie is pretty ridiculous, it's not TO DIE FOR, but I fell in love with the blue people and never have I cared for CGI characters. Ever.

The movie was so engrossing that during the scene where the Navi were trying to save Grace literally everyone in theater held hands and started moving in unison with the Navi people and chanting.
