Yeah but how many of those measurements are done improperly and speaking of which...what exactly is the correct way to measure. The +- error must be considerable in these averages. You can stretch the suspensory ligament only so far of course but still.
Never seen a 10 incher myself....not in real life. A 2 incher when hard would be highly unlikely too.

From what I've read, the medically correct way to measure is along the top while fully erect, with the penis held parallel to the floor, and with the ruler pressed against the pubic bone. That's called "bone pressed erect length". Also, if your penis has much of a curve to it, a cloth tape measure will be more accurate than a ridgid ruler. Be sure to press against the pubic bone, and not between the bone and penis, and not to the side.

For girth use a cloth tape, and measure mid shaft fully erect, or (more accurate) measure right at the head, mid shaft, and at the base, and average the 3 measurements.

As for the accuracy of these studies, the self reported ones have a large margin of error. Some of it due to exaggeration, some of it due to poor, or misunderstood measuring technique. The studies measured by medical professionals have a very similar outcome, so I trust most of them. A $20 bill? At current exchange rates, that works out at around £14.35 pence....how the fuck am I supposed to measure with that.

This sounds right for men in general, of all races, but I think for gay men, at least gay white men, the average is more like 6.5 from what I've seen. And I've seen/done stuff with tons of them... the vast vast majority were 6 or above, with only a handful around 5... This is anecdotal, but 5.5 may be average in the straight world but small in the gay world (unless, Asian or Latino)
