Since quitting well over 2 years ago I've been acutely aware of how much money I'm saving.......
Popular brands are going for about $6.50 a pack.

As a former MORE than 2 pack a day smoker....... ......I've saved a MINT.......

When i was in the service - and we were at sea (no tax) - we paid $1.10 a CARTON - - So 2 packs a day was nuthin'

I dont smoke, but here in Costa Rica, they are about $1.00 a pack or less! depends where you buy them. And these are name brands like Marlboro, Kool, etc

I haven't had to buy fags in ages. I got a heap when I went overseas, and everytime my parents go overseas get me some so I seem to have a pretty big supply.

I don't smoke so I could be wrong, but I think the cheap ones are around $5 and the named ones are around $7.50.

Here they cost between 4-5€ per pack. I'm glad I don't smoke...that's way too expensive. :-D

Here in SA they are about us$3.50 per pack.

Thank goodness i was able to stop about 7 years ago (with the help of zyban for a month). Best thing i ever did for myself.

But the addiction never goes away but it's a good feeling to know you have the POWER over a very very dangerous substance that millions of others cant conquer.

5 quid for a pack of fags is a bit much - it was 75p for Rothmans when I lived there

My mum keeps banging on about when it used to be 25p for 5 Mayfair of something

i've been smoking for 5years, i've noticed packs of 10 have gone up from £2.20 to £2.70/£3.20

When I changed brands and started smoking Marlboro Reds in 1979 you could buy a carton of 200 for just £5.00.
At my local service station they are now £6.65 for a pack of 20!

When I first started smoking a packet of Embassy was about 23 pence for 20!!!!

I don't smoke now but miss it like crazy sometimes.

I don't smoke but I think they are around $5 a pack. There are also smoke shops near the Indian Casinos but I don't think they are that much cheaper.

Cigarette and Tobacco prices are mostly taxes.
