Ok I got her new album which came out today and I think it's quiet good. I don't mind that's she's not all miserable and gloomy now, the happy, upbeat and catchy tunes are a change from her normal stuff (though I still think Under My Skin is underrated) Anyway my favorite songs from the album are Girlfriend, I Can Do Better, Runaway, When You're Gone and Keep Holding On which, btw, is the best song on the album. Seriously if I ever get married, I am soo playing that song that my wedding. :gogirl:

Has anyone else bought it yet? What do you think of her change into a more bubblegum pop rock sound?
 
I thought the album was horrible,only because none of the songs seemed catchy to me.
 
Avril seems to trite and over-rated in every sense. She is one giant cliche, then again i think most music is now...Avril might as well be Ashlee Simpson to me.. bleh...
 
On the first listen i thought, omg wheres Avril... but its all about changing, and now shes happy i can grasp that. However, the whole albums filled with arrogance, which i think Avril has alot of now personally - most of the lyrics were amateur but the beats are fun. There are some decent songs on the album, but this isn't her best album. I think something also needs to inform her that cursing doesn't make you cool no mo'. ..|

I actually happend to like the Alanis-clone from "Under My Skin", but this record is dreadful indeed.
 
happen to enjoy it myself. i like Hot, Contagious, Keep Holding On, Girlfriend and Innocence. Its different from the previous album obviously. Which i enjoyed but i still like the change up on the new cd.
