AVRIL what happened?

I don't think its that different from other stuff she has done.

It was actually nice to see her look a little happy in her video.
 
How was Avril "a leader because she had her own sound and style" in the first place if Chantel Kreviazuk wrote her music? That isn't being a leader at all. That made her a "follower" from the start.

I like her new sound. I really hate how people will dislike singers/bands for changing their sounds... If they didn't change their sounds then people would bash them for sounding the same in all of their songs. Shes bettering herself. It's a catchy song.

Also, a lot of singers will say stuff that is later used to contradict what they do later on in life. She did a media interview that could be taken out of context for years. Avril Lavigne once said that she would never ever wear a dress, but I don't think her 18 year old mind pictured herself wearing a dress on her wedding day.
 
Let me just check, is this song some kind of in-joke I don't get? If it's postmodern anti-commerscialist-materialist satirism and not a half arsed braindead punk-pop version of hey mickey' can someone let me know?

She having fun, its a fun song - its a fun time in her life, she has a husband and buckets of money... :cool: Can't really judge too much until the full albums been heard, i very much doubt its full of songs of this level of 'energy'.
 
i love the video. i don't really like the song the 1st time i listen to it but it sounds better and better when i listen to it over and over again.

oh and she looks so pretty in black hair.

Christina is doing this vintage thing now, so how is she following Christina? and what? following britney spears? get pregnant and shave her head bald? dont think so, avril still has some unique in her ..

I'm just wondering why no one comments on "Keep Holding On" when it's a beautiful, mature song, but when she releases a bubble-gum song, people are all over her ass, lol. :rolleyes:
 
people tend to notice the bad work and overlook the good work. it's human nature i guess.

In 'Stupid Girls' the video matched the lyrical content. She was lyrically saying how shit people like Paris Hilton were.

And Avril? Was she resigned by Disney?
 
thats my girl and while i havent heard the "keep holding on" song. I do enjoy "Girlfriend". I've enjoyed her last 2 albums, the second a bit more than the first.
 
I've like all of Avril's singles (including this one) But yea, I was surprised when I heard it the 1st, she's all wearing pink, smiling, sounds more pop...Still I like the song its catchy, can't wait to here the deeper songs on this album

1) That's like comparing in a race a mouse (Avril) to a polished race horse (P!nk) so let's not go there. Avril couldn't make half the music P!nk does.

2) it's not only the video. It's all the photoshoots, interviews... she's sold out. She is just looking for a way to sell a few CDs to make a few more bucks. Rubbish BS if you ask me. I hope it turns around and bites her in the ass. I hope she flops so she can go back to the true Avril.
 
Well...its pretty surprising because it's not our usual Avril anymore...but she cant give us the same sh*t to us Again & Again & Again...she need to give us something new...and she did! Like it or not...it's her...and its not bad though its not as great as her earlier stuff...im looking forward to the best damn thing , Go Avril

PS. but seriously, that Chinese & Japanesse version are crap!
 
Wow have you guys heard the remix with Lil Mama?

Its hella awesome, who would have thought to put these two together. Lil Mama kills this track its so awesome. I wasn't a fan of the original, but i luv this remix.
