Awesome Movie Scenes!

Christopher Lee decomposing at the end of "Dracula" while Peter Cushing makes the sign of the cross with two candle-sticks ...

Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, both actors had much success with Hammer Film Productions. The Hammer Horror series of films still hold up today for the quality of the performances and action editing.

One of the films I saw as a kid in 1965 was the movie, "SHE", starring Ursula Andress - her best movie performance ever!

Charles Laughton as 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' spectacularly saves gypsy girl Esmeralda (Maureen O'Hara), accused of a murder she didn't commit, from being hanged in front of the cathedral ... A great scene from a classic old movie ...

My favorite scene of all time is from Lean On Me. To me the scene shows what real friendship looks like.

Absolutely Outstanding Scene!!!

I love that they can get in a huge shouting match and then a minute later go to dinner together. To me the highest form of intimacy (not necessarily sexual) is being with someone alone and not talk or feel the need to talk. Having a bad argument and then going on with life immediately is second. This scene has stuck with me since I was a kid.

Now for something completely different.

You can tell the weekend is drawing near because my funnybone wants to take over this thread.

When Gene Wilder died it took me some time to accept his absence. It only takes one scene to see why:

Awesome nataku, you have inspired me!

Do you remember the 1988 movie, "They Live", starring Roddy Piper?
This is the scene that has made this movie an internet meme:

We've got a great collection of films here.

Can a scene save an entire movie?

In my opinion a single scene saved the comedy movie "Private Benjamin" and you all know the scene!
When Eileen Brennan meets Goldie Hawn as a new army recruit, it still gets a laugh outta me.
Excellent scene.

In The Mood For Love花樣年華 by Wong Kar-Wa
CNN picks "In the Mood for Love" as Best Asian Film of all time.
CNN: It's perhaps the most iconic scene in the most iconic Hong Kong movie of all time.
the film appeared at the #2 spot on the BBC's list of the 100 greatest films of the 21st century.

Haven't had this much fun since Star Trek's 50th Anniversary, lol.

I hope you agree with me that sometimes the best movie scenes are the ones that shook you up as a kid. In my case I was just a little guy when the whole family went to the theater to see Disney's, "Sleeping Beauty" from 1959.

That scene where Maleficent makes her first appearance still gets to me even as an old man!

If only Sandy Sandstone had these guys in the hallway, ready to assist her!

My favorite scene from "Jurassic Park" - 1993.
