At what point should these political jerks that slander and libel fellow members of the Congress be indicted and sued for such ridiculous behavior?

She gets on stage in front of over 1,000 people and declared that Nancy Pelosi was wasting the taxpayer's money by charging "her $100,000 bar tab on her airplane" to the people. First off, Nancy Pelosi doesn't drink at all. Most importantly, there is no alcohol at all on the aircraft that Nancy Pelosi is shuttled in courtesy of the US military. It's a 100% lie of the highest order. Michelle knew this wasn't true, but doesn't give a fig.

This shit has to stop! But the thing is FAUX News people won't ever hear that the video clip they saw of Michelle Bachmann saying those things, was an utter lie, a fabrication, and pure slander. I'm just waiting to hear that from some wingnut at the airport in the coming weeks. These contempt filled smear merchants need to be brought up on charges.

Here's Bachmann's entire insane speech to the "Values Voters Summit":

What's even more telling is that she spewed this slander at the "Values Summit". *shakes head* Unreal. I guess lying, slandering, and libeling don't constitute "values" that group is interested in.

I think we all know what kind of whacko Bachmann is. The sad truth is that it either matters to the voters now or it doesn't.

I believe she is taking her victory for granted AND is taking her republican followers inability to listen to the real media as license to say and do anything no matter how unreal or dishonest.

That right-wing "Values Voters Summit" was nothing more than another Obama bashing event. The crazies have taken over the Republican party. Bachmann is one of their wackiest leaders.

Just FYI, the bit Molten means is at about 12:15.

Before that, she has some really brilliant, some nicely profound, some shallow, some inane, some mundane parts. There are some passages where her words ought to be heard and heeded by all of Congress, and others where anyone with a smattering of history would be embarrassed to suggest she might be smarter than a fifth grader.

BTW, I just sent an e-mail to the Heritage Foundation and told them they really ought to check out who will be speaking in front of their name on a stage, and vet speeches for outrageous lies beforehand.

She takes to the stage with U2's "Mysterious Ways" playing in the background ?

That's priceless.

On your knees boy

I'm not at all proud (and somewhat disgusted) to say that she's from the same state as I am, Minnesota.

Is frighting that if takes control of the House Ms. Bachmann will be leadership role. Wake up voters and don't give in to fear and hate of the GOP.

Bachmann is head of the tea party caucus in the house of representatives. They were formed BY her. She is often a paid speaker at their rallies.

she for all pratical purposes, is the first head of a national division of the tea party within the american government of the USA.

So when do they abandon the Republicans, or the Republicans boot them?

If we had a real representative democracy, so more than just two parties could get in the game, I'd say... during the 2011 lead-up to the 2012 voting. As it is, with the vile "Don't waste your vote!" mantra, they may limp on together, crippling each other, neither doing the body politic any good.

We need proportional representation in the House!

the republicans now have them entwined. Like the christian movement of the 80's that found its home in the republican party, I believe the teaparty element is there to stay and will bring dissention to the party.

You know in some respects, this is NOT a bad thing JUST in that they wont amarch in lock step anymore and that may promote a bit of free thinking within.

I think the tea party movement will evaporate after the republcians are finished consuming it.

Their effects?

Did the Borg change when they absorbed a new technology? :gogirl::p

Well, we can always hope for a "Hugh" ;)

Actually, The Borg analogy is an apt one.

The GOP, though it pains me to say this, is far more intelligent, organized and just plain experienced in the art of political trickery than the tea party could ever hope to be...

They will temporarily assimilate the TP, extract what good they can from the gathering, and discard the rest.

It's already begun.
