The world would be a much better place if the extent of all vandalism was just throwing glitter.

Well....

I wouldn't like it if vandalism at my conservation and safety project was dumping glitter -- the cleanup would be far more of a pain and expense.

He may have been talking about children, but it was in the context of homosexuality. For Marcus to say the statement had "nothing, nothing to do with homosexuality" is just not intellectually honest.

Laika is technically correct, because Marcus was referring to all children as barbarians.

But you're right that Marcus claim in defense is dishonest, because to bring that up in that context is to say that being gay is like lying, stealing, bullying, cheating, vandalism, etc.


As for the glitter -- glitter is a far cry better than if they have done something to symbolize what they thought of Bachmann's clinic, like dump a basket of cockroaches in the waiting room or a truck load of manure by the entrance.

I am by no means a Bachmann supporter, but I don't think this does anything positive but make a few already angry people feel a little better about themselves.

If you want to do something like this in your home or maybe a gay bar, that is one thing. But you don't go to someone else's property, where you aren't welcome and throw anything around, even attitude. Again, if they want to throw glitter in their own homes, who cares.

If anyone on the Bachmann staff had a shred of open-mindedness, that's probably gone forever, if not for generations, all to indulge the lives of a couple of selfish people.

I've never been to school, so I would have a problem identifying "Muslim" handwriting. Is English manuscript the same as Arabic? Just askin'.
