The relevant matter here is the defendant's, plea that despite confessing to killing his girlfriend he did not intend to and, therefore the murder indictment should not stand as a result of his being stoned out of his mind by a cocktail of alcohol and drugs.

In a fit of anger people will say "I'll kill you" without actually meaning too. In this case the defendant meant it.

Do you mean he could have just shot her instead of beating the life out of her? The number of children who die from gunshots in the US every day could fill a classroom. That's just children. Please don't turn this into a gun rights issue.

It isn't about being a bad boy. I love intense men and so most of the men I have been with have either been bad boys..edgy guys..or nerds. The only abusive guy I was ever with was one of those "nice guys" (BARF). He even went to seminary to become a priest. He looked like an audience member at a christian revival. The mass murderer I worked with was also a "nice guy".

His brain normally operated at 2% capacity but the drugs stopped it working all together and his inner animal came out and killed "his woman".

It is very sad that, for whatever reason, this young girl did not kick him out of her life the FIRST time he laid a hand on her.
I think at 18 so many youngsters think that being in a relationship is so important that they will put up with abuse rather than admit defeat and walk away from it
