I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or if you agree with me. But yes, in a nutshell that's how I see it.

I was very religious when I was younger. It's people like Pat that turned me away from Christianity in the first place. I wandered around for a while before I labeled myself an atheist and called it a day. Had I not been exposed to extreme and blunt views like those of Pat's and company's, I would not have started questioning the whole faith thing so early on in my life.

Robertson, and others of his ilk, probably turn far more people away from Christianity than they ever bring to the faith.

Extremists in all faiths always make their religions look deeply unattractive.

Regardless of whether Hazel wqs just being a teen following along the crowd or if she was really so hateful, that single photo did more damage to the anti-desegregation crowd in the court of public opinion than most people realize.

Public opinion is a tricky thing. Too much of anything tend to make the general public sway the other way. I believe, but can't prove, that's what happened with the last election.

My oh my the writing of that Wikipedia article is a bit of wishful thinking, no? 'The Real' Hazel Massey? I'd say that they were both the real hazel Massey. People aren't inherently bad, per se, but they're not inherently good, either.

As for Robertson, there's more than enough examples floating around. You only need the one. Doesn't have to be him, particularly with his base of power.
 
Pat Robinson has been blaming gay people for decades, blaming us for everything from hurricanes to tornadoes to floods to mass shootings to gas spills. He says that God is punishing Americans because of us. To me, that is a very vengeful God who would slaughter Christians along with the sinners. He preaches hate. And he's bought several mansions with the hate money his followers have given him.

Maybe the stroke and the loss of speech is God's warning to Pat to shut the fuck up with his lies and hate.

Pat Robinson is more than one Christian? Telstra dear reading is fundamental, I'm talking about a specific person, not all Christians, which isn't the same as you talking about ALL Muslims. One is observation, the other is bigotry. Go sit at the kids' table, the adults are talking.

I did not say ALL muslims, if i want to say "all", i will say all and don't need you to ad afew words here and there for me.

If you dare mention some things done in the name of a religion, ideology, or sport, they will just dismiss it with "so you are saying that ALL soccer fans are hooligans?" No bitch, we're not.
