A pensioner is being sought by police after he was spotted driving naked around a bowling green in Perth on a motorised scooter.
The man, thought to be in his 70s, was seen in South Inch by a passer-by at about 1000 GMT on Thursday. The witness was concerned he would be seen by children at a nearby park. A Tayside Police spokesman said the man put his clothes back on and drove off. The man's scooter is believed to have a top speed of 3mph.

I would NOT make a generalized statement about the elderly on motorized scooters......about them being menaces or banning them, for they should be considered on a case by case basis and if someone is hurting someone with theirs then perhaps they are using the scooters for something other than it was intended!

Remember, Alzheimers doesn't pick and choose it's victims and perhaps we should be careful about poking fun at someone who doesn't even know/remember he/she is doing anything wrong when they are out, naked, driving around in their scooter....

I just hope the news media will be kind(er) to whoever they use in their stories, for they might be totally unaware that they are doing anything wrong at all.

These "elderly" people might be your grandparents or even you in the future, knowing NOT what you do or even remember your children or grand children's names...

They would be curious for sure and would probably giggle and ask a lot of questions and talk about it for days. But I can't imagine how it would be traumatizing.

There was an old guy on a motorised scooter out the front of where I work on Friday. He drove up behind a young asian woman who was walking with her boyfriend, and instead of slowing down, he just bumped straight into her, knocking her over. When the boyfriend turned around the old bloke just screamed, Get Off The Fucking Pavement, People Have Places To Be You Know, and puttered off at 5 kilometres an hour. Evil old bugger.
