The bit that jumped out at me was at 1:30 where he forestalls the objection that he should try to convert the sodomites by saying "why should I reach out to people that God has given up on!", which is breathtakingly un-Christian. Cherry-picking scripture is normal in the Bible bashing business, but surely one of the most famous verses in the whole Bible is "Judge not that ye be not judged". That didn't seem to pop into his head, apparently. I wonder if he finished with a chorus of that well-known hymn "God hates faggots"?

P.S. In fairness to the man, he's not at all bad looking. If they take away his licence to preach he could escape to London and make a decent living giving hand jobs in the toilets at the top of Carnaby St.

Actually no. The typical Baptist minister has a much better understanding of God's Word and is a bit more respectful of all people. Most Baptists will not call for those they disagree with to be murdered.
 
Hmm, i wonder if his cultural background has anything tk do with it. Are blacks accepting of homosexuals? Most Baptists aren't as judgy as that.

The only "Baptists" I know of who have that much hate in them are the Westboro ones. Could he have come from there? He seems a bit young to be a preacher anyway.

very true---although I had straight guy friends from Trinidad who used to take me to some straight reggae clubs and said don't worry we will protect you ----great guys---but I wouldn't go near Jamaica. Ironically lot's of Jamaicans in Provincetown who work in the town--it's a long story how this happened---some are cool but many are homophobic in a totally gay town. Go figure.:rolleyes:

I don't understand why he said this. It's a time to reach out to all and be compassionate. Obviously not a good shepherd for his flock. :(
