Barack Hussein Obama <--- is OK now

Some of you guys will waste time over nothing. It's his fucking name. Get it? If fucking W hadn't started a needless war and implied that Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11 Hussein wouldn't have had the same impact as it does. Now get back to beating off.

Time to lighten things up again.

The information the OP presented is incomplete. Yes, He will use his middle name but it is in service to being more inclusive. As of his inauguration he will be known as Baruch Hussein O'Bama.

I think I was the only one to laugh at that the first time around. I'm not sure anyone else even got it. <sigh>

About six months ago, I and several other friends of mine (and celebrities) in this corner of Europe started using Hussein as our middle name: Luke Hussein Magro, Diederik Hussein Manderfeld, etc.

The reason for me to do this was that I knew very well that I had never, ever heard the GOP speak about John Sidney McCain, Albert Arnold Gore, Bill Jefferson Clinton, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton, Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger or Ronald Wilson Reagan. Only Barack Hussein Obama.

So now I'll proudly call myself John Hussein Doe.

During the impeachment business, I remember hearing "William Jefferson Clinton" a lot. Other than that, I think you've kinda nailed it.

The name Barack is jewish enough already: remember Israeli PM Ehud Barak? He was born as Ehud Brog, but "hebrewified" his last name upon entering the army. Barak could be spelled as Barack, since Hebrew uses another alphabet.

True -- but they don't mean quite the same thing. I don't know if it was intended, but "baruch" in this context is worth a chuckle.
Come to think of it, though, "barak" is, too, just a different chuckle.

this is the post i was hoping i'd see, just pure logic.

There's no way to approach the matter using "pure logic". The leap from "important job" to "use full name" relies not on logic, but on social axioms.

I wouldn't mind if he swore in by using his Hawaiian birth certificate number, because it uniquely identifies him. But using one's name is customary, and the weightier the matter, the more formal the version of the name.

It's all about inclusiveness.

Too many people think his name isn't inclusive. I've come up with a solution to that problem: add more names.

To include the Irish, add "Aidan".
To include the English, we'll add "Blake".
To include the Italians, we'll add "Luigi".

And so on.

These names are not randomly picked, mind you!

"Aidan" is in honor of the furious, flaming campaigns he emerged through to reach this position.
"Blake" stands for the dark situation he faces.
"Luigi" signifies his need of someone to finish the Iraq and Afghanistan situations.

So, ladies and germs, I give you...

Barrack Aidan Luigi Blake Hussein Obama.

It'll only work if you remove all the "Muslim" names. Otherwise, to many Americans, that's like Osama Bin Laden coming to America in his traditional garments, but with a Red Sox cap on top. Still a scary, terrorist Muslim, just a scary, terrorist Muslim with an anglo name.

"Luigi" ain't very "anglo". [-X

You know, I realize it's the man's middle name and all, but I feel weird using all three names. Why not just Barack Obama? I never called Bill Clinton 'William Jefferson Clinton,' never called either of the Bush guys 'George Herbert Walker Bush' or George Walker Bush'...or 'Jimmy....um....whateverhismiddlenameis Carter'...so why now? lol I have no problems with his middle name, Ann Coulter seems to have a field day with it, so I wonder what she's gonna do to insult him now? That was pretty much all she had. lol.

I'm happy he will, because it shows pride in who he is and where he came from.

I kind of feel bad for Obama, though. There's a couple of ways you can misspell that name and REALLY fuck it up!! And that's WITHOUT the middle name. I wonder, if since Ann Coulter's only insult is to call him B. Hussein Obama, and since it's now not an insult to say, if she'll use one of those variation "misspellings?" I mean the woman is a couple nuggets short of a Happy Meal, so, I wouldn't put it past her.
