Hi everyone, I have never barebacked before but I am eager to try with my current boyfriend. I would appreciate your suggestions! What was your first bb experience? Can you actually feel it when he cums inside you?

Not sure. They usually pull out before that, but -to me- it definitely feels different to go condomless.

A word of warning, STD risks go up insanely. have PreP, but through condomless sex I have become a sad gay STD statistic.

Research harm reduction and also perhaps get PreP.

Have you both been tested for STIs?

Thanks for your message! I was wondering whether or not we would both feel a difference.

Good. A lot of couples go into the stage of their relationship when they forgo condoms but they assume because they've been in a relationship, they don't need to test for STIs. Unfortunately, there's a lot of STIs that don't always have apparent symptoms, so getting tested is a) a good precaution to make sure that both of you don't have an untreated STI and b) if any of your tests are positive, you can both be treated.

Also worth mentioning - if the two of you have not been vaccinated for HPV, meningococcus and hepatitis, this is a good time to talk to your primary care provider about getting caught up on vaccines. These vaccines are important for sexually active gay men.

If you are not in a monogamous relationship or you decide to include other people in your sexual activities, then you both should consider going on PrEP.

Harke and I have had the discussion about bareback and whether it makes a difference in sensation for the bottom. I can't say that it was any different. Condoms can be a pain but they also save a lot on cleanup.

If it's something that the you and your partner want to try, you're in a committed relationship and you've both been tested for STIs, then give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I have not barebacked in many years - but when we did I could not feel the cum - but I could feel him cumming. So I felt the act - not the product I guess.

Hopefully that was exciting enough 😋
