Battle: Los Angeles

There was a very similar movie to this from last year, Skyline. Supposedly it sucked so badly.

Another aliens attacking earth movie. So I wonder why all the sudden the concern is only with LA. Or are the aliens only interested in attacking LA? If so, I hope the aliens win. I bet if they ran Hollywood then we wouldn't have so many movies that suck.
 
It looks good but can fool us like 2012 did. What a piece of shit that was. Aliens are always attacking us.
 
^I dont get all the complaining about 2012. It certainly wasnt a masterpiece. But it was better than most of the shitty movies that come to theaters.

Not accusing you in particular of being like this. But lots of people pan movies simply b/c other people say they are bad, w/o actually seeing them.

I'm not sure about this movie. Like most it looks good when you first see promos, but nowadays movie previews are rammed down our throats so much that by the time a movie is ready to come out, i'm so sick of it that I dont wanna see it anymore.

2012 was indeed shitty. I first saw it in an Imax Theater. Surprised by how bad it was. Then I gave it a second chance on Blu-ray. Still bad. The best parts of the movie were the trailers. Everything they put in between was pure crap.
 
I did see 2012 when it first came out. So I have first hand knowledge how shitty it was, lol. But I usually like most everything I see so for me to hate it it's bad. I am a easy movie goer.
 
i know 2012 was a crap. but it is a CGI feast for the eyes. and i never get tired of seeing L.A. break up and sink into the ocean.

I wanted skyline to be good but it was just terrible. It started out well and went nowhere.

The final squence was lame

I think this one looks more promising, but sometimes the best parts of flicks like this are put in the trailer.
 
I like the song that they use in the trailer when it shows in slow motion.

Anyone know the artist and name of the song?
 
I'm over alien movies. I can't say I was thrilled when I heard this was coming out.
 
This looks like it will be a fun popcorn movie!

A few friends and I are planning to see it opening weekend. :)
