battlestar galactica: razor

I love him!he DOES really resemble Olmos more, and is one hot Latin hunk!:gogirl:Now serious stuff;)...I read all good reviews and descriptions for the minimovie.I have feverishly avoided spoilers that lend what's the connection to the new season.I really hope that there could yet be one more season for BSG,though I doubt it.But in a way I'd rather they split this season into a 10/10 partition because I want to enjoy this incredibly written and acted show as long as possible!I think it was primarily because of the writer's strike, but it will be hard to see no more new episodes of something this good!

oh i know... it really bums me out thinking this will be the last season of the program. but at least they're going out on top! bsg is easily one of the best dramas on tv irrelevant of it's genre.

I saw the movie last week. It has been on bit torrent for a while now. It shows how Cain became the way she is. Thumbs up IMO. Im not a great movie critic but i liked it is all I can say. Minor spoiler below on Cain's personal life.

Cain goes lesbian with Gina, a Six clone. The one they later had tortured on the Pegasus

Razor bump.....tonight's the night!!!:gogirl:

i don't get scifi anymore. :( too expensive for the expanded package that has it. anyway i'll have to wait till it hits torrents, but sounds like maybe it already has? i'll have to go check. =)

razor was kick ass!!!

totally loved it!!!

now i can't wait for the dvd.

It WAS AMAZING. It was sooooo nice to see a new episode of bsg. I loved everthing about it, the graphics were awesome.

oh i know!!!

and i have to tell you i was soo switched on to see and hear the 'old' cylons!

i geeked out when they answered 'by your command!' :square:

OM MY FRAKKING GOD! AWESOME!

I don't know where to start!
CAIN IS A LESBIAN!
THERE'S SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT THOSE HYBRIDS!
KARA IS THE HARBINGER OF DESTRUCTION!
ALL OF THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, AND WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN....

OMG! OK... Phew... So many clues in Razor, i can't even post them all, i have to order my thoughts.

...and i have to give sci-fi props for the psa at the end of the show. ..|

Indeed! I was very proud.

Now we know why when Gina was about to shoot Cain, and Cain said, "Frak you," Gina said, "You're not my type." LOL

I wonder what the Hybrid's little clue means about Kara? Was he lieing? Misdirecting? Is it the truth? If it's the truth, is that a bad thing? Or is it something that's supposed to happen? AHH!

Trivia:
The voice actor that played the Hyrbid in 'Razor' is the same voice actor that voiced the narration for, and characters of the Bentusi, from the PC video games Homeworld and Homeworld 2. Both of those games were inspired by the original Battlestar Galactica and share a similar story line.

oh my god!!! i totally forgot about "you're not my type" line! now that's just wicked cool!

i'm still on the fence about kara... what would the hybrid have to gain if it was misdirection? like i said, i'm still on the fence but i'm dangerously close to falling over to the cylon side!

eee!!! i can't wait to get my hands on the dvd so i can take it apart!!!

I was so thrown by that, but they were now delegated to guarding the hybrids...it still seemed so strange considering how retro yet cool that scene was!

Very logical for them to reveal Cain and Gina were lovers, going back to the "Frak you".... "You're not my type"scene where Gina/Six killed Admiral Cain.fleshed out the betrayed anger in each of them over the other's cruelty and betrayal.

I liked when Adnmiral Adama cautioned Lee that technically, even the brutal tactics of Cain, and Major Shaw could be defensible. He had different circumstances which tempered the instincts that "whatever it takes"could have determined his decisionmaking process....President Roslin,Colonel Tigh, his being a father all influenced his actions which while tough minded and pragmatic, maintained a humanity and civility. You are sometimes what circumstances make you,for good or bad.

So what is the deal with Kara?!!!The hybrid's revelation to Kendra was a shocker! Is he telling the truth,or misdirecting?what exactly is her destiny..hero and visionary,or the instrument of humanity's destruction?Scenes from the new season hinted at a Kara who definitely wasn't leading the fleet to Earth, but to a much darker fate..which devastated her.(You see her falling to the floor in horror that they are not going where they believed).

So much and more as the DVD includes scenes that further spell out clues to the fate of Galactica and humanity. So exciting ...but we gotta wait til March for the first ten episodes of the last season, and maybe January for the second half!:grrr:Well,it looks like the new season will be well worth the wait!:D

What sucks royal ass is that we MAY never see the end of BSG. NBC Universal (owners of SCI FI and producers of BSG) have indefinitely suspended production of Battlestar Galactica due to the writer's strike. They opted to use a seldom-used suspension clause to release all of the actors from their contracts, and void any remaining imperative to produce further episodes, and to further void any imperative to pay the actors for unproduced episodes. Thus the actors must now seek new jobs to support themselves, and may be unavailable should production ever resume after the writer's strike is over, if and when that may be. :(

So with that in mind, if there is ever going to be a second half to season 4, it will most certainly (in my opinion) not be aired before 2009. Currently 13 episodes of season 4 have been filmed, the first 10 of which are scheduled (according to the advertisement during Razor) to air starting in March.

like i said previously i'm beginning to think kara is a cylon but at the same time i'm wondering if she will end up being like sharon on galactica.

and i have to say that i loved that adama could see cain's perspective and that of the pegasus' officers. if he did not have rosalyn fighting for the survivors would he have made the same decisions himself? shortly after the attack he was marshaling his own resources and was even ordering ships to his location. i have to say this is one of the aspects of this show that i find so appealing... the fact that they all walk this fine line between whats right and survival. there are no black and white characters on this show, they are all in various shades of grey.

god i hope not. it's rather sad to think that they may not be able to maintain the cast to finish out the series. an actor has to find another gig to pay the bills like anyone else. i can only hope that when all this writer's business is settled the cast may be able to reconnect to finish out this series. i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

btw, i found the psa:

Amen from the congregation on that! It's great Jamie Bamber is so strongly supportive of the GLBT community,no matter his own personal sexuality being straight. It is a very brave stand to take so openly in the ad,as all the performers who were involved..thanks for your support!..|

On the downside,March is quite a ways off, though by the time of the St.Louis meet, the season will be in full gear...it will be fun talking to you and other BSG fans there about how the new season is going and could we believe the latest episode's jaw-dropping plot twist!:D
