aerghh well therve just started season 3 in england! unfortnelty im to pooor to get SKy so i have to download it when it comes out in america! but ill buy it on DVD so ill try and do my part in keeping it on air!
and dam i find it so hard to follow name son BSG the only names i know is Starbuck.

Time for speculation? ProvenLogic gave us some spoilers (thanks) and now SciFi is giving us some teaser ads.
POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT
In the ads, they tell us one will die and one is a cylon. Who do you think it is?
Will die: I hope its not Starbuck, I like her character and she is one of the main ones on the show. Colonel Tye? His character is pretty much played out. I'm betting money on Dee, Apollo's wife.
The Cylon: Really hard to tell. They have been hinting around that Baltar is, but that would be to easy and a let down. The real shocker would be the least one expected. President Roslyn? Starbuck's husband, the civilian they found on Caprica? I think the one to die and the cylon will be one and the same. Again, Dee.
What do you guys think?

Since my spoiler post, it's been all but officially confirmed. Starbuck dies in some form or another later this season.
i wonder why they kill her off? it does look like her in that picture you posted. can't make out who the other 4 might be. is she sick of the show ya think?
the series ended with no real resolution. it got cancelled. the last episode of the series had the galatica intercept a radio recording of the moon landing, but no one was around to hear it, and that is how it ended.
then they made a spin off series called galactica 1980, which only had 10 episodes before it was canceled. in that series, it was set like 10 years after the original series ended and they had just found earth.

Purely a dramatic story turn i beleive. I don't think the actor/actress in question (remember to use the spoiler tags mike!) wants to leave the show, it's just that that person's character "dies".
Personally, i'm hedging my bets on the following:
Dienna Biers is killed by her fellow Cylons (her specifically, not the entire model series).
Starbuck "dies" but turns out to be either one of the final 5 Cylons or she is not "truely" dead in some fashion.
Baltar may bite the bullet.
Note: this is purely my personal conjecture.

When we see the real version of Six on the cylon base ship she is also called "Caprica".
I was watching a video on a BSG blog. An person who acts in BSG is being interviewed. When questioned, what will happen this season. The person on the video says. My character will die, and I am a cylon. Followed by a "sorry if i just ruined it for you guys"

Whoever built it, if it was the 13th tribe or not, clearly built it for both the Cylons and Humans to find. So why? And how did they know? And who were they? So the plot thickens!

i think she was trying to play it off as just being crazy and joking around to throw people off. But i think what she's saying is actually 100% true.

I got to stop reading this thread so attentively because of the spoilers...lol
I'm one of those 'new bread' Television watchers: I wait for the series to come out on DvD and see them then. I find it better to pace it on my own rhythm...
Here in Portugal no channel picked up Galactica for their programming and I've been watching it on DvD imported from England (better image than the American version).
While you guys are talking about the third season, I'm still thinking of the last episode from season2.
Hope this series lasts more than Carnivale....
