Anyone familiar with these earphones?

I'm going on a spending spree. Should I get them? Are they worth the price?

Which ones, there are like 12 different types? Fyi, they are made by the company monster, the same people who sell those ultra expensive monster cables at best buy when you buy your HDTV.. And no, monster is not known for building speakers...lol lets just start there..

What's so good about monster?

Well monster is just monster, they try to make high quality products without really aiming on one specific product. People that buy 7800 80" flat panel TV's swear by their gold tip cables. No one would pay attention to Monster's headphones with out the connection of Dr. Dre. Even my HP Touchpad tablet has something call Beats by Dre software, i'm not even sure what that means. I have two pair of beat's at the moment. PowerBeats and BeatsTour without the remote. They sound great, but there are better sounding headphones for the money. That's why I needed to know which model you wanted because Monster does make decent headsets. As you start to move down range, beats start to lose their quality as far as the 3D effect and sound band. Nothing at the moment beats my Bose headphones and I don't particularly like bose home theather systems (I think they are outdated) but the headphones are amazing..

Now if you just want to spend the money and have people know you can afford quality headphones, then beats is probably the way to go, but if you are concerened about sound, there are better headphones for the money.

Isn't Dre a gay-hater?

I like my Koss PortaPro. Best open headphones you can get according to reviews. Really good bass on them ..|

Best Buy sells the Monster headphones. There's a Best Buy near my Apple Store. It's between Monster headphones and Beats by Dr. Dre.

I 100% agree with Giancarlo.

Monster is a company that have built their business on charging huge prices for things that are otherwise much cheaper.

HDMI cables, like all digital cables, either work or they don't. Monster charge 5 times the price of a cheap $10 HDMI cable, but both products do the same job.

As Giancarlo says, I would personally buy Sennheiser - a company that have made speakers and headphones for more than 50 years, who get consistently great reviews.

I got the Beats by Dr. Dre!!! I paid $330 for the limited editions one and bought some for my boyfriend as well.

He's currently using those crappy ear phones that come with the iPhone.
