'Ophelia' by John Everett Millais

I'm not much of a History fan, but while leafing through my History book (it was partly art history) one day in class I came across this painting and I just spaced out and stared at it for literally 15 minutes. My friend had to snap me out of it to tell me that the class was over, lol.


This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and the video is also an artwork in itself.

I know that I am as corny as they come, but I really loved these two songs from the Eurovision Song Contest back in May.

The first is by Jelena Tomašević from the host country of Serbia and it is called Oro which is a romantic folk dance in Serbia. It is a beautiful song which even today still makes my eyes water.

The second song is that which won the ESC and it is called Believe by Dima Bilan of Russia. The song is (just barely) in English and the video features the famous Hungarian violinist (On a Stradivarius, by the way!) Edvin Marton and the Russian world champion figure skater Evgeni Plushenko, who is known to skate to Marton's music many times in competitions, leading to Marton being dubbed the violinist of the skaters.

I know many of you will not agree with me, but I find both of these to be very beautiful videos. But then again, I am a sap. What can I say?
