He is President of The United States not the Arbitrator of The United States. Presidents have also tried to help with state problems, does that mean they should take over as Arbitrator/Governor to state legislatures. He has a job, that is what he gets paid for, that is what he should do.

He is the president of the united states. he can do whatever he wants within the parameters of the law and for the benefit of the American people. If he wants to have to people over to the White House because of a dispute, he can. We are the ones paying the bills in the White House as is.

He got in to something he should have. Now he is trying to fix it his way. He doesn't have to do what all the other presidents of the past have done and release a press release. HE is the president now, and he can handle shit as HE wants to.

And this isn't a state issue. This is a private issue that made it into the media.

Oh it has been proven it is illegal. And tons of people have tried to file lawsuits.

I second that. The P.A. pretty much made most things the president wanted to do legal unless it goes against certain other laws. And even then there are ways around those laws.

I think President Bush should serve time, but so far no one has shown real proof.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 — A federal judge in Oregon ruled Wednesday that crucial parts of the USA Patriot Act were not constitutional because they allowed federal surveillance and searches of Americans without demonstrating probable cause.

The ruling by Judge Anne L. Aiken of Federal District Court in Portland was in the case of Brandon Mayfield, a lawyer in Portland who was arrested and jailed after the Federal Bureau of Investigation mistakenly linked him to the Madrid train bombings in March 2004.

“For over 200 years, this nation has adhered to the rule of law — with unparalleled success,” Judge Aiken’s opinion said in finding violations of the Fourth Amendment prohibitions against unreasonable search and seizure. “A shift to a nation based on extraconstitutional authority is prohibited, as well as ill advised.”

I remember that, being from Oregon. That however does not prove President Bush broke the law, it just proves one judge found parts of the PA to be illegal. Many laws are in part or altogether illegal. That is the point of a line up of judges. Until SCOTUS makes a ruling it means very little as a whole. There are still appeals to be made.

When I said proof that 43 broke the law I meant a lawsuit that was allowed because evidentiary evidence was found.
