Well, I'm not anywhere near 40 yet, but I still remember life before the internet...

I did not know when the internet was first invented but when I was about 10 or 11, that was when I first heard of it-computers and internet. It actually took us about 3 years later, and with the constant nagging of needing a computer for school for us to get one.

I remember using only those really old 95(or even older) with the black screen and green text in school.

How did I got my rocks off? Straight pornos I stole from my uncle and my father. My cousin and I would borrow his sex tapes to watch. We never turn the volume on and usually would sit against the locked door with the remote, just in case! It was fun and exciting and I learned how to masturbate from those videos. I, honestly, did not know that boys can cum!

Then the internet came and access to porn was much easier, I was opened up to a whole new world of gay porn. Before then, it was only straight porno tapes.

I still remember one time we were caught. The whole family told us they were going shopping and ofcourse we said we will not go. Not 10 minutes passed yet and they came back home to catch us. We were caught red handed and was scolded and given a lecture : " You are too young to watch this. Just wait a couple of more years until you are 18, then you can watch anything you want." blah blah blah.. After that, they had to hide their porno at another secret location and we were grounded to not stay home alone again until much later.

The first time I can remember seeing gay porn was when I was in High School. It was the most incredible thing. So, I had just come out of school, and for whatever reason decided to go to the park right across from my school. It was a cloudy and wet day and the park was pretty much deserted. So I sat on the bench, and I think I had a sandwich or something. But as I got up and was ready to leave, something on the ground caught my eye. In total, there was, I think maybe 3 gay magazines lying on the ground as if presented to me through some divine miracle. I quickly stuffed them in my book bag and went home.

The funny thing is, the great majority of the stuff I saw was solo guys. Very few action pics. And it never really hit me that these guys actually had sex with other guys on camera. I thought these guys are WAY too goodlooking, they could have any girl they wanted LOL. How funny is that?

Anyway, in those pages, I fell in love with Danny Sommers, even though I didn't know his name at the time. And because of those pages I also became enthralled with the idea of watching a Kristen Bjorn video. And actually Anchor Hotel was the first full length gay video I ever saw- that and Amazon Adventure. And the first time I saw them, I was so amazed at what I was seeing that I didn't even get horny. Before the internet the only way to look at porn was to go to an adult book/video store and either buy a magazine or rent a video to take home. Or you could go to the back of the store, where the individual booths were, and drop quarters to watch porn movies (not videos) being projected on the inside face of the booth door from an 8 mm projector that made a clicking noise as it projected the movie. There were glory holes back there, too, which were lots of fun, believe me. The booths were crowded, too, with all shapes, sizes & ages standing around. If you wanted to see a hard cock (in a movie or in real life) and you were home alone, you had no choice but to go to the book/video stores. I think that's why I have a thing for glory holes, back rooms and dark theaters - all of which, sadly, are getting harder to find.

I was just talking to a friend about how the internet has really changed a number of things with regard to sexuality.

In particular, we were talking about how the advent of internet porn has affected masturbation. Basically, there's a narrow age range which is young enough to have come of age after internet porn was around but old enough to have only really had still images at their disposal (no movies). We're talking about the years from about 1994 to probably 1999 or so.
