Attention Beheadings Thread (Omnibus Thread)

The guillotine is a far cry from getting your spine severed with a serrated 6" blade or even a machete. You ever cut through thick wet vegetation with a sharp machete? It takes many powerful whacks to splinter the ticket, its not a chain saw.

I agree. As beheadings go, there's a variety. Speaking of chainsaws...

Another one got beheaded yesterday....just nuke Syria and Iraq. Truman would have done it. Aw heck the entire Middle East. Only takes 10 nukes to kill everything there.

A French 'doctor' once wrote about observing an execution to see how quickly death came to the victim.

After the blade fell, the head in the basket, he called out the man's name and observed that the man's eyes came to him – made eye contact. Seconds later, he called the man's name again. This time the eyes didn't move so the 'doctor' believed that death by guillotine was indeed quite quick.

What the foolish 'doctor' didn't consider was that for the eyes to move, there would have to be blood pressure working the muscles.

In fact, in all instances, cause of death is lack of oxygen – the body dies in stages, and the retinas are among the last organs to go – taking up to 15 hours to die once blood flow/oxygen is stopped.

^Wow that's depressing.

We all end up as dust.

Except Catholics of course.

..."hostages"...

Unfortunately we have young men like this (Oliver Lambert) who like to use someone else's tribal hatreds to semi-fictionalise them and be artistic to "translate the raw stories of war into truthful narratives that audiences will respond to" with "powerful human stories".

This young Englishman is getting an income by encouraging other young English fools to be "artistic" using overseas tribal hatreds for their own career.

The "foolish" doctor was probably in the process of discovering that muscles do not operate on hydraulic pressure provided by the circulatory system and therefore blood pressure is irrelevant to eye movement in a decapitated head for as long as some form of consciousness is retained.
