My list of things that are over done in the gay world in my opinion:
1. Piercings of any kind except ears. Eyebrows, nostrils , cheeks, above the chin, tounge, nipples, belly button and pa's! If I want to hang ornaments, I get a christmas tree.
2. Tatoos- They've gone from sailors to trash to suburbia and sliding back to trash. These top two also do not age well.
3. Shaving except for face - a little manscaping if one borders on gorilla like is fine but to completely shave one's body is oveer the top. If you're a man, look like a man, not a 10 y.o. boy.
4. Make up - enough said

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go and re-guage my ears while checking on my new tat of Brittany Spears, shaving my entire bodyand putting on my eyeliner.

Seriously, the male body is such a thing of beauty it needs nothing other than a little light manscaping on those who are excessively hairy. Why mess with a good thing.

Only a few guys can pull that piercing off. I like all piercings except septum and hooha piercings.

I loved how it was a huge deal when Britney Spears got her's done. All the soccer moms freaked the hell out.

I've seen many males look great with belly rings, masculine OR feminine. although it looks much better with a barbell than a ring in anyone!

It's like anything - on the right guy, it's good. Personally,I like piercings anywhere but the cock, but the thing is irrespective of where they are, I don't want more than about four on a guy. When they've got three through each eyebrow and so on, it's a bit of a turnoff. So, I like most piercings including the belly ring, so long as the guy isn't doing a portcullis impression.

It depends on the guy. A guy who looks like he's 9 months pregnant, no way. A hot guy with washboard abs, perhaps. Anyway, I don't fancy belly rings. I like tattoos and tit rings.
