I have a better plan!!

Sell the cat to an Asian restaurant. Cat's are filthy disgusting vile creatures. They should be punished. Like guys who don't pay child support. HANG THEM BY THEIR THUMBS!

I'm allergic to Benadryl. In fact, if I ever wanted to off myself effectively, I'd take a whole box of the stuff, which would stop my heart.

But I'm not allergic to cats... I just dislike them. I say it's because a cat scratched me and infected my lymph system with tuberculosis which caused me to have a lymph node removed from under my chin, leaving a nasty scar and a susceptibility to head colds. Fucking cat.

A friend of mine, though, says it's because I have a very feline nature and don't like other cats in my territory. He's probably right... it's the habits we dislike in ourselves that most irritate us in others.

Cats are the best. That's why everyone has em !

Here's my boy. Thankfully you won't get worse just by lookin at him (I hope anyway!)

^SO cute ! ^

God, I'm in major cat withdrawal since Simba.. :(

Oh.

And here's the deal on Benadryl...

It's generic name is 'diphenhydromine HCL'.

That's important only because that's the same active ingredient in Sominex, and Unisom, and all the other OTC sleep aids.

Yes, the same drug marketed as an allergy reliever is marketed as a sleep aid.

It makes you drowsy and a little disoriented.

Just so you know.

 Sorry Josh. He's my lone cat since I had to put my Simba (and Samantha) to sleep last year. A week apart from each other :(

He's a sweetie. Keanu is his name. I see you all snickering. Bring it on ;)
Thanks, Babe. (*8*)

I know you're a fellow 'cat person', and that you understand....

They put me to sleep and make me feel like crap too.

I use Claritn D for my hayfever.

I hope you feel better.

Poguito, you made Stacy cry!

I'll second the endorsement for Claritin. It doesn't work quite as well for me, but it doesn't make me feel oogy.

Feel better, babe.

*edit* Poo. Hmm... If Claritin doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell you. DA can probably recommend a tea for you.

Oh I know all that, honey. But it's the only thing that slightly works. Claritin and Zyrtec do jack shit for me. Benadryl at least makes it so I can take in a breath (

I know, darlin'. (*8*)

Personally, I'd kill for an Ambien CR. Yes, I know it's an evil benzo, but sometimes ya just need a little something...

Lurchin...

How is it you find a six month old thread about Benadryl and decide to revive it ?

LOL - for a moment I thought you were serious - I just check the pharmacological archives - Benadryl was determined to be a neurotoxin...how the heck did you even find it????

???????

My advice is recycle it straight away and vent the fumes!!!!

Maybe you are a pharma-archeologist???
Benadryl is not a neurotoxin, and it's still on the market: http://www.benadryl.com/. The active ingredient in Benadryl is also one of the active ingredients in Tylenol PM. I have no idea where you're getting your information. Frankly, each time you post, you come across more and more as a troll.

Lord. The morons really have been coming out of the woodwork lately, haven't they?

Okay, I'm in an argumentative mood.

If Benadryl is banned, as you say, then why is it sold in every drugstore in America? And why do I have a box of it right in front of me?

When you looked it up, what was the active ingredient listed? The Benadryl sold in the US has Diphenhydramine HCL as its active ingredient. It's a commonly available over-the-counter antihistamine. Perhaps the name Benadryl was given to a different drug in other countries?

It must be. No other reasonable explanation.

And this must be a seventy-year-old box of Benadryl on my desk. With a December 2009 expiration date.

Things were made to last in those days, you know.

Darlin', you need to put the absinthe bottle down and rejoin us in the real world.

*sigh*

And I was looking forward to arguing with you some more.

Guess I'll finish reading this book, watch an episode or three of CSI: Miami, and go to bed. :(
