Berlin plus travels elsewhere.

A trip to Berlin is in my future. It is easy enough to follow the tourist guides, but I'd love to hear of your discoveries or recommendations for things to see and do in Berlin / gay Berlin.

Also, there is time for a few days somewhere else. Any recommendations? Air travel within Europe seems very well priced.

Get the latest Spartacus Gay Guide, copy the Berlin page and ask around in the bars.

For the other places I can recommend Amsterdam (where I live). Not very big but enough to do here.

Alternatively, Luxembourg is a nice place to stoll around in.

Not so sure on the gay Berlin as it was not really what I have been there for, but I would say go on the free tour (they ask for tips) given by Sandman Tours. I have always met pretty cool people on them and you see most things.
Second on Amsterdam (moving there in a month!), also try out Hamburg if your into a pretty weird nightlife.
I would not bother flying everywhere as the trains on the continent are pretty tight and cheap!

knaack and magnet club where quite good 4 years ago. but check with the locals first, the "in" clubs do chance frequently in berlin.

cafe cinema at hackesche höfe is quite nice. konookes imbiss probably is still the place for some nice berlin style currywurst. the gay scene around nollendorf platz is worth a visit. also the pergamon museum (but i believe they are renovating it right now).

for breakfast, i can highly recommend cafe bilderbuch:

Definitely this, they are amazing! You'll love Berlin, it's one of my favourite cities.

Amsterdam it is! I have always known of Amsterdam, meaning Schiphol, Anne Frank, Queen Beatrix, & tulips. A chance to know it a little better is very welcome; learning about it in greater depth and it looks spectacular.

OH I always knew about the rijksmuseum too…that is on the list. The pot and orgies will probably be wasted on me though.
