Bernie beating Hillary badly in New Hampshire 60-33

Bernie isn't radical. If politicians hadn't been moving constantly to the right (after JFK), Bernie would be mainstream.

True, but in American politics he is. His policies are known to work, and they are normal in Europe (single payer health care), but aren't here. We live in the real world, not the world we want it to be. The US has never healed from the Red Scare, and from the looks of things probably never will, so long as the moneme "soc-" is perceived negatively by critical parts of the electorate, e.g. suburbs of swing states.

He's been speaking English?

It would appear that there are sufficient voters understanding his choice of words.

Let's not delude our selves, Trumps numbers reflect a reality that encourages many to believe he could be the next POTUS.

In a normal cycle, I would agree that Bernie would not be an ideal general election candidate. However, if Trump is the R nominee Bernie would defeat him.

Demonising Trump here may well win some points among the regulars....meantime....out there reality is positively chilling.

I am well aware of the reality of his followers thank you. I'm not looking for brownie points to demonize him because he does it himself.

To call him gifted is incorrect, because it doesn't take someone who is genius or gifted to do what he does. He is grasping at everyones irrational fears and the paranoia that unfortunately exists in the under belly of our country. He is literally yelling into the microphone and seeing what sticks, unfortunately too much of it does with a portion of people in our country.

Clearly there are those out there who do not share your perspective....with the media responding with great enthusiasm to Trump's campaign.

^ Yeah. Well the media responds to the Kardashians as well. Tells us nothing about the worth of the subject.

The media loves noise. It pays their bills.

That is all.

It isn't as though they are doing some noble public service.

The fact remains that Trump's star is rising....and no amount of demonising here is going to stop him....and I write these words, despite my own very deep distaste for this person, and everything he represents.
