  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Best idea of the 21st century!!! LOOK

You sound like the stereotype of a Venezuelan. We all do it, it's just that Latin Americans are less shy about their public appearance.
You can't talk across class-lines---usually, in a lot of places---and so how you present yourself is ultra-important.
Oh, yes, los Estados, in a lot of places, have the same problem. But in many regions [the farther from Hollywood, is one parameter] they get over obsession with surfaces, las mascaras. [If I seem obsessed with appearances to one person on this Forum, please understand that I think that 'going to the gym, etc.' is all about discovering the inner person]

OK there's a lot of over-generalizing. To sum up what I want to say: while to some degree public decorum is certainly important, I think it is far more important for the sake of public morals, to simply speak to each other with fraternity/sorority.
Don't just shun; talk about things as if humanity were what's important.
This is an important human value that pre-dates Rome by several millenia and has ocasionally flourished since then.
'Vale' to our blippin' delusions and just deal with each other's reality.

Not pissed, even understand what you're saying. BUT, if we cant learn and practice some tolerance in our own "family", how can we expect it from the "straight" world.
We are what we are, and want to be who we are.

Closeted gay people annoy me. Closeted gay people that want everyone else to be in the closet really annoy me.

What is the thread title suppose to mean?

Well in fact there have been several other threads on this subject, but ok, I'll go contrary to the pc crowd and actually agree with this guy.

Yes I understand what you mean Dude, and I agree that over-the-top, effeminate guys are a turn-off.

But what are you going to do? It's a free world and it would be pretty boring if we were all the same.

Just because some people don't behave the way you would, does not mean you should hate them.

Live and let live.

Peace out! We all have our space on the planet.

What has happened to cause all these teeny boppers to obsess about their masculinity tonight? Is it the holidays? the raging fundamentalists? habloingles, whether you realise it or not, you aren't just "pissing" some people off here, you are INSULTING them.

All the bible-thumping grandmas must have been giving them the stare down at christmas dinner.

You know that skit that Aries Spears and Deborah Wilson used to do on MadTV called "Reality Check"?

Anyone want to be the Aries to my Deborah?

When has it been your duty to tell people what's 'wrong' about their lives, especially when it doesn't affect anyone else but them?

Why do you care? It's their life. It's not yours. I don't come trolling in and tell you take a few large steps back and reexamine your lifestyle. You probably do shit that's just as much for attention as some of those flamboyant guys. Everybody does. And some of them are just like that because it's who they are.

Do you tell overly macho guys to take a few steps back? Do you tell goth chicks to take a few steps back? Do you tell valley girls to take a few steps back? Do you tell dorky guys to take a few steps back?

If you don't, then step off, because flamers have every right to be who they want to be and do what they want to do without someone busting in and dictating their lives.

Life's too fucking short for killjoys.

Ding.

I would be careful how you judge others ... for they in turn are judging you. Life experience has much to teach, and you have much to learn.

.... beginning with a more appropriate title for the thread to actually reflect its content.

Not all we 18 year olds are like this Habloingles fella.. honest!! #-o :nono:

I know that and it gives me hope. Habloingle is young, inexperienced, and naive. He feels pressured and a little threatened by people who are not. Hopefully with time, he will find confidence and he will worry less about these issues. He just needs to open up his mind.

Flamboyant? What is that? ;) :D
