from your list i would say West Side Story.

but my favourites are Grease and Hair

things never change eh?

my lesbian friend kim told me that she was gay by telling me about when she was a little girl, she had the biggest crush on Debbie Reynolds in Unsinkable Molly Brown. it is not bad I liked it.

I voted for West Side Story but, my favorite is Guys and Dolls.

Cabaret has to be my all time favorite. But on that list I go with CHICAGO.

You have missed so many good ones out, Grease, Cabaret, Oklahoma, Carousel, Gypsy and Oliver and a hell of a lot more

But from your list i couldn't really decide from West side story or the sound of music. although i did vote for the latter

One of my all time favorites is Meet Me St. Louis. I also love Fiddler on the Roof, but out of the choices you presented, West Side Story is the best.

nothing beats the classics like "Singing in the Rain" and "Beauty and the Beast" but however, beauty beat the rain by a tiny bit.

'chitty chitty gang bang'.. i'm obsessed with the child catcher..

You left off Mame, staring Lucile Ball and Bea Arthur. A great musical and a great cast. My favorite line is when Auntie Mame tells her nephew Patrick, "Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!"

I listen to the music from Chicago often...but I like Moulin Rouge better.

I'm sorry I missed some great movies, but I could only choose ten!!oops!
My personal favorite is Chicago. I just love Renée Zellweger.:gogirl: :gogirl: :gogirl:

Chicago is one of the worst movie adaptations of a musical ever. The cast were awful. The choreography wasn't a patch on the stage choreography. They cut half a dozen songs from the score and lost all the humour of the stage show.

1) Singin' in the Rain 2) The Band Wagon 3) Gigi for original movie musicals 1) Cabaret 2) West Side Story 3) My Fair Lady for movie musicals adapted from Broadway.

there are so many good ones - but you can't mention West Side Story, The Sound of Music, and My Fair Lady without incuding THE KING AND I !! Deborah Kerr (even if she didn't do all the signing) is a class act.

I love all of them....

But Singin' in the Rain is the best...followed closely by My Fair Lady, with Moulin Rouge gaining ground quickly behind it...

That's a tough list to put together. But I opted for The Sound of Music.

<Cue the music> "The hills are alive...."
