Best Toothpaste for teeth whitening?

Any toothpaste that contains an abrasive scrub (and I believe almost all do) is allowed to claim it whitens teeth because it removes surface stains. The toothpastes that explicitly make this claim have some sort of bleaching agent in them. However, because they are in contact with your teeth for such a short amount of time and then rinsed away, they're really not anymore effective than regular toothpaste. Even toothbrushes are allowed to make the claim that they're whitening because they remove surface stains. So yes, brushing your teeth to remove surface stains is important, but the bleach in toothpastes is pretty much ineffective.

You need to buy a whitening (bleaching) product that is designed to stay on the teeth, such as Crest whitestrips, etc.
 
I use hydrogen peroxide as a rinse. Works great for whitening teeth. It is very inexpensive too.
 
Well, I think you should ask the dentist first about whitening toothpastes.

But as for bleaching the teeth, my dentist for instance, he would ban it cause in his point of view, it harms the teeth.
 
no tooth paste will whiten your teeth. You can mix half peroxide half baking powder once every two weeks. No more, its VERY ABRASIVE and your enamel cant repair faster than that so dont do it. But after a few times, you will be tempted to do it every day, it really works! But i would just do Zoom Whitening if you want White teeth. Heck, even Wetern Dental has it and they will let you make payments no credit check lol. $600, movie star white, why not?
 
Once a week i use a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda mix together.
one part hydrogen peroxide and two to three parts baking soda.Works well.

This! I get compliments on my teeth all of the time. Just don't do it too often or your teeth will disappear due to the acid.
 
i've heard that rinsing you're mouth with hydrogen peroxide works great, but i've heard that you need to mix it with water. and no matter what type hydrogen peroxide treatment you use, make sure you don't swallow!
