Betrayal

I'm hearing a lot of sound advice here. But one thing I'm not hearing is this. You have a right to be angry. If you tell someone something in confidence and they break that trust, that hurts. You are right to be angry. So I provide the following advice.

Go for the kneecaps.
I don't deny that he has the right to be angry. In his place I would be (and was when something a little like it happened to me). I'm saying "hold off until you're sure who to be angry with."

Also, I'm saying that unless he wants to be outed rather more spectacularly, making a scene at a party isn't a wise choice.

Because if he really didn't knowingly do it, he won't feel like you're demanding he confess to something he didn't know he did, and if he did tell other people, he can tell you without some melodramatically tense situation.

He knowingly did it - he confessed to friend B that he had told one person before, this is why im saying tell me the whole story. This guy tells the truth in small little bursts, so rather than find out a month from now he told yet another, i just want to know now. why? because i just want to have some kind of knowledge as to how known this is.

edit: and unless i create that "melodramatically tense situation" then he wont tell the truth, im 99% sure of that.

Well, you know him better than me. But if you're making it a big melodramatic thing to draw out the truth, at least do it as a facade, and not in any kind of seriousness. ;)
