There is a facebook page that encourages people to sign up and demand that NBC at least invites Betty White to host SNL, she has never done so.

Instead washed up sports stars, reality show people, moronic punk actors with no talent are hosting SNL over and over again.

Anyway the face book pages has gotten masses of media attention recently, if you want to sign up search for "betty white to host SNL" on facebook.

I think she would be a riot. Encourage all your friends too!
 
It would be a hoot to see Betty do SNL. But knowing that SNL historically doesn't give priority to comedians to host, I'm not holding my breathe. Some of SNL's best episodes in the past were hosted by non-comedians. It's really not about the hosts, it really about the writers and what they are able to do for the hosts. Case in point, Asthon Kutcher has done comedy before, but he sucked last night at his fourth time as host. It wasn't his fault, all the skits were just lame.
 
I tuned in for 5 minutes last night and changed the channel, the part I watched was boring, but if Betty White was hosting I would defintely watch.

They may think she is a bit old and wont be as quick to do costume changes etc etc but I am sure they could figure something out.
 
I'd watch it too!

I just did a quick search and seems Entertainment Weekly online is promoting it too. They said that fans of the facebook page went from 8500 yesterday to over 35,000 today. USA today also did an article on it. SNL would be foolish not to capitalize on publicity like this.

Love her. She's such a great sport with her guest appearances on Family Guy and 30 Rock. AMAZING AND HILARIOUS. Did she do a spot on The Simpsons, too?

She did a couple spots on The Simpsons. She was great.
 
She is such a great sport and could be funny, trouble is the lame and unfunny writers on that show would probably fuck it up.

After watching Ashton's horrible performance, I also don't think they deserve Betty White.

But it is time for them to get some real talent to host and write.

It would be pretty awesome to have her host, she so adorable and quick and hilarious.

Betty White to Host SNL with Fellow Comediennes

Golden Girls star Betty White has almost signed on the dotted line to host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

EW’s Michael Ausiello reports the TV legend won’t be doing it alone though.

SNL is putting together a “Women of Comedy” episode that would team White with SNL MVPs like Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

I mean, I dearly LUV Betty White like most gay men do... But guys, she's 88 years old... (Or is it 86 ? Somewhere in there...)

Even sharing the hosting spotlight on SNL will take a lot of energy.

I hope she is up to it.

Thanks for that. She's so funny and adorable. Love her.

SNL has never been funny to me. I loved Madtv - I think it was extremely underrated. Debra and Mo are the best...after Betty or course.
 
If SNL thinks she's too 'tame' for their audiences, just show them her presentation at the Roast of William Shatner; she was one of the highlights of that evening...And I still chuckle just thinking about it.
 
The title of this post mislead me. I got soo happy for a moment thinking she was actually going to host!
