Beyonce's "Should have" (New song!)

I dont have to personally know someone to realize how stuck up and obnoxious they are, Beyonce exudes that attitude in the videos, interviews, and other public moments captured on film, if you cant figure out someones personality and attitude with as much exposure as beyonce, then you need to crawl out from the rock youve been living under.

and i wasnt just talking about her lyrics, i was talking more about her music, she writes alot of her own music as well, there are several songs on her new album, in which she writes all words and music, including "The Way That I Love You", in my opinion one of her best songs.

Ironically, I've talked to people who have had to the opportunity to work with her and it's been said that she is one of the most down-to-earth celebrities you'll ever know; the fame has not gotten to her. Of course, this is what other people have said, and this is not what I personally know. Unlike you, I have gotten a completely different perspective on her as she seems like she is nice, simple, easy going girl.

I must agree with MIAL, how can you judge someone so harshly when you have not met him or her? Just because her personality is not appealing to you does not mean that she is stuck up. It seems that you have deeper issues of resentment towards Beyonce.

She Is Stuck up, and thats my opinion, i dont give a damn if i have never met her, thats what i think of her.....im sorry that you worship the bitch, and will do anything to defend her...but im obviously not a fan of her music, as succesful as she is, she should appreciate things more, and i dont think she does...dont ask me how i know this, i just do, i can sense it, i can sense a lot, even if ive never personally met the person.....its a gift i have...

maybe it's the label, maybe she's been sick, maybe the song isn't catching on, there's a million maybe's. except of course for someone with your "gifts" of being all-knowing.

Are you being sarcastic, marleyisalegend?!? [-X :p

But it's OK: when it comes to Beyoncé, we all have different opinions.
To me, she's annoying and overrated, and I won't change my mind pretty soon.
I loved DC waaay back, when it was a four-members group and IN MY PERSONAL OPINION they all seemed more interested in releasing good music than in being mega-super-stars.
This being said, Michelle Williams is still a new entry, I like her attitude and her new songs are really catchy (personal view again) while B's new song is really nothing new (ibid.)
Bye

While I do like Beyonce's music, I have not done anything and everything to defend her as a person or as an artist. I am very objective when it comes to her and I have stated in previous posts where she is lacking as a person or as an artist. With that being said, could you direct me to some interview or video where it could be construed that she is stuck up or not grateful for her success? Seriously.

Honestly I'm trying to help you at this point. Do you recognize that in 1 thread, you've managed to form 4 opinions about 4 people you've never met. My friend, if you form such strong opinions like this, based on nothing at all but heavy in content, you're going to miss out on some wonderful people, and for that matter some wonderful music. There are great people out there in the world who might look stuck-up or rude, but get to know them and they're the warmest, kindest people ever. The only reason we're having this discussion is that I haven't heard you say Beyonce isn't talented, you've said almost nothing about her music, but constantly express strong opinions about her persona. Statements, by the way, that you can't back up with anything solid.

I really appreciate the time you spent to try and let me understand, BUT I think you misunderstood me.
I am not judging Beyoncè's persona, I'm not interested in doing that. When I said that she's annoying and overrated I was talking about her singing skills. I don't like her songs and I don't like the way she sings them. Period.
I loved DC's music much more. Period.
I'm NOT judging them as human beings. I would never do that.

It used to be OPINION that the world was flat. It used to be OPINION that blacks are inferior and stupid, and that Jews should be slaughtered. Opinions are overrated, and often said by people who'd benefit more from listening than speaking.

You know that this is completely out of contest, we are in a freaking Gay Message Board, for God's sake! Don't put that thing on me.
BTW, it used to be opinion that Italians were dirty racketeer...
Oh, it's true! WE ARE!

I really respect her talent and the way she acts onstage (which I have seen live) but the girl needs to give us a break. She is just too much, let me miss you for a while and the come back, then I would be happy to hear you. She is like the Tom Cruise of the music industry now, over exposure.

I just got the new Ashanti album today, usually I don't get her (musically), but I actually like this album, it is very un-Ashanti, I don't remember hearing Baby. But this new song from B-always-around, it just dreadfull. It is like every album she releases she is loosing the smoothness to her voice that made you recognize it in DC back in the day. She sings so harsh now, it over rides her talant. My opinion.!oops! I get it is an emotional song and she is trying to show vulnerability, but it just comes off as over acting. On B-Day it was refreshing cause it was a new range from her, but I think she reached its limit.

Absolutely right, though, well, your original point. Funny. Oh, there is nothing wrong with being dirty. Maybe that is why I always befriend Italian, two of a kind!..|

Also, I agree, DC's music is better than BK's. Yes, she might be a success finiancially, but DC is a legendary group.

I actually wasn't too into DC and not into Beyonce til she went solo. I thought DC was a watered down, pop version of TLC.

Huh? I don't see it or hear it? How are you drawing your similarities between Destiny's Child and TLC, especially when DC first came out?

The DC music just felt more poppy to me, less substance, more radio-friendly hits. TLC sang about condoms, stereotypes, sex, drugs. DC sang about boys and boys and boys and boys and relationships and boys and boys and relationships.

TLC's music was certainly more profound. DC's songs had a more popular appeal.
But then again, has Beyoncé been singing about Weapons of mass destruction, world poverty and global warming?

;)

Ooh, i haven't checked. I just kind of leapt in mid-conversation like i usually do.

But i will check out the front page now! Thanks!

By the way, Forever To Bleed/Should Have is an amazing track, i love the chorus.

I Dont Think You Can Even Compare TLC and DC, Obviously TLC are/were miles ahead of DC in every single possible way, TLCs Music is Timeless, DCs is too poppy to be timeless, i dont think we'll be hearing Bootylicious or Bug A Boo on the rado 10 years from now, But Waterfalls and No Scrubs remain on the Forefront of most american radio stations most played lists.

The only song i like from DC is Lose My Breath. I Love about 15 to 20 TLC songs, those were my girls back in the day, i went to every single one of their concerts, purchased every single one of their cds the day it came out......TLC will live on forever

I agree. I LOVE Queen B but it'd be nice if I go two or three days without hearing about a new album. The hard work she's putting in to build her legacy and assure her status as a pop icon comes at the expense of other girls not getting attention from record companies and music listeners who don't want "any more Beyones."

Let the church say amen. DC is simply the most successful group in a genre packed with harmonizing ladies. TLC is in their own category.

Thanks for agreeing with me. TLC is in a league of their own...I'll take "Red Light Special" over "Solider" any day. DC got tired very fast.

It sounds a lot like Timbaland's remix of "Apologize". I really like it. I've been listened to it a lot lately.

sorry i thought beyonce had already released a new song. But then i found out that was "Work" by Kelly Rowland. sounds exactly the same as a beyonce track.
