BF wants to meet a match from OKCupid

This thread is a dormant thread opened originally in June (6 months ago). Whatever happened has probably played out some time ago, so giving advice now is a bit late in the game.

The OP was here last on 5-Dec, so you might PM him and ask him to provide an update to this thread.

So I and my boyfriend and another friend met the guy for dinner. I didn't have much common with the guy so I didn't talk much, but they talked a lot (I was a bit jealous). Later we went to the roof of my boyfriend's apartment building and had some drinks and talked, and apparently they flirted a bit. I didn't notice much cause I was too bored from the talk, but my boyfriend told me that the guy said sorry he flirted with my boyfriend the next day. Anyway, they shared quite a bit of interest, and initially I was a bit jealous. My boyfriend worked at a school near where the guy worked, and they met up for lunch several times afterwards. However, they were both busy and my boyfriend also moved in with me so I didn't have any reasons to get jealous.

My boyfriend left the country for good last month. Initially I was really reluctant to do long distance because I was in one and it was a horrible experience (the ex was a nice guy though, but we couldn't work it out). However, my boyfriend pressed on and I also found it impossible to let go of a relationship that was going so well. I don't believe in "the one", but he's the closest thing to such idea that I've met so far. He moved in with me in July and we had the best four months together ever. I was surprised that he was more serious about monogamy than I'd thought - it's just his way of communication/acting can be confusing and inconsiderate sometimes, but at heart, I know he truly cares for me and respects our relationship. I'm not expecting 100% monogamy now that we're far apart (I'm in no mood of sleeping with anyone whatsoever), but I hope at least we can keep the communication and the trust we've built so far.

I'm applying for some jobs, and hopefully I can earn enough money to visit him one or twice a year, and hopefully our relationship can survive until I can move to his country :-).
