Big Brother 13 CBS

Team diversity? Lame. Then again, I've always found alliance names pretty dull.

I wanted to point out that ashley looks a lot like keesha from big brother 10. There seems to be a trend in casting players who look like other players from seasons pass.

Speaking of casting, big brother is coming to CANADA! Ill finally get to apply. Although i don't know how well that would do with ratings. How popular is big brother in other countries?
 
In America the first few seasons were good. Due to this new chimpanzee looking bitch producer, the show has sucked since season 6.

The show is a big success in England. It was cancelled but quickly picked back up by another network and is doing well.

In Australia it's so so. It was cancelled nearly four years ago. This year it is making a return.

I am anxious to see how bb Canada plays out. Seeing as they are using bbusa rules.
 
Uh... I'm not really a fan, but Grodner's been an executive producer since day one of BB2. Shapiro's run was only better in the way that he didn't rig shit as obviously as Grodner does, and that just led to underwhelming winners like Drew and Maggie of all fucking people. But even then, in his five seasons, three (2/3/6) were good, one (5) was largely forgotten beyond Nakomis's five finger plan, and one (4) was just as terrible as more recent seasons BB, aside from the amazing Jun/Alislut F2.

From Grodhog's solo seasons, I'd say that three were good (10/11/13), two were mixed (AS/8) and two were among the worst ever (9/12). Really not a different success rate from the Shapiro/Grodner years.

I've just not had too much time to post this week. Being stuck at my illustrious cashier job (:rolleyes:) 8-9 hours a day isn't helping.

Janelle aside I feel like I have no opinions of any of these houseguests yet. Tell me who the racist homophobic trashy people are as well as who I'm supposed to like, Pepper.
 
Heh, wish I could. I'm still trying to figure out who I like myself (aside from Dan and Janelle) since I can't access the feeds and the tv shows pretty much only focus on the vets. JoJo's accent seems promising? And I actually kinda like Joe and think he has the potential to go far. It's weird cuz he's usually the demo I DON'T like on this show (older straight white guy) but he's funny, unflappable, and seems to like associating with minorities.

Also, you may get that huge cat-fight soon since Britney has already started bashing Janelle and you know that's gonna come out at some point. Poor Janelle, she never could make it work with the girls.
 
I hope kara goes home tonight. She's incredibly boring on the feeds. Frank at least starts drama and doesn't blink at criticism. If it's a tie, willie will obviously send frank home.

Shane, danielle and ashley are also very dull. Shane is nice to look at but paint dries more excitingly than his conversations.
 
Yeah where are the nasty naked pics that you guys kept posting in last year's thread?

I hope Frank stays, and I hope Ian either becomes comfortable or relax. Everytime I watch him, it feels like he is nervous and jumpy. Maybe they need to put him on ADD medicine.
 
Sidenote for the Survivor fans in this thread. Apparently the Emmys decided to solve the problem of Jeff Probst having the best episode submission for Best Reality Host year after year (he's won every single year since the category's inception) by simply not nominating him this year.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program.
 
I think Ashley brought her own supply of Xanax because she always looks like she is stoned, or falling asleep. She always seems to be in Willie's bed in HoH.

Ian is more entertaining in his oddness than Shane is in his horness, and Frank is an exciting player because he stood his ground with Willie when Willie thought he would bully him into back down from what he said about him mocking Wil.

I love the quiet conversations between Janelle and Dan and I love that Dan respects her for not being a mean person.

Usually I have a favorite player by now but no, and I do have one I despise. I don't like JoJo and I despise Willie.
 
Yeah I personally think Big Brother should submit itself for Best Comedy Series. Hey, it's funnier than Nurse Jackie.
 
Right down to the feeds cutting off, it was a scramble for votes with Ashley still being the swing vote (though it sounded like she really didn't want to vote with Willie and his crew to evict Frank). Therefore this should be one of the more exciting first week votes. If it's another ho-hum landslide, then that means everyone got on the same page within the last hour (and I'm not ruling out that possibility since this show is notorious for deflating intrigue).
 
So I don't expect the broadcast show to actually air any slurs, but was Willie or Frank or whoever calling Wil a faggot something that actually happened on the feeds or was it a lie?

It'll be interesting to see if they just get rid of Danielle to get rid of Dan. I think there's no real reason to get rid of her otherwise.
 
Uh oh. Frank and Boogie are talking about how great it would be if Britney traded Willie for Danielle and they could kill two birds with one stone by voting out Willie and getting rid of Dan at the same time.

They might actually throw the coaches comp to Britney to make that happen! Britney is also arguing with Willie, calling him "a bad player" and "a condescending asshole."
 
OMG I just thought of something. How hilarious would it be if Britney won the Coach Comp and traded Willie for someone on Boogie's team? LOL. That would force Willie and Frank to be on the same team and it would cause a huge rift between Frank and Boogie (Frank wouldn't care and would want Willie out but Boogie wouldn't want to lose one of his players).

God please let this happen somehow.
