Big Brother 13 CBS

The ONLY people left in the house who deserve to win are Dan and Ian. If anyone else winds up taking home the prize it will be a travesty.

I didn't watch Dan's original season so I'd never seen him before, but man am I impressed. Sure, he's had some luck fall his way, but he's really done a great job of laying all the groundwork for a win. He really in the elite league of the very best BB players: Dr. Will, Danielle (Reyes, not Donato...she didn't win but should have), Jun Song. I really like players who get that it's a GAME, and who methodically go about the business of winning it, without letting emotions or "friendships" (they didn't even know these freaking people a couple of months ago, and they probably won't see most of them ever again) get in their way.

Ian is FAR outclassed by Dan in terms of strategy and gameplay, but I gotta give the little dweeb credit for hanging in there. He's a lot younger, and a lot less experienced, and his naivete and emotions are going to be his undoing.

Nice article from The Huffington Post on how terrible this season is and how terrible Ian and Dan are. And how screwed over Frank was this season.

Michael Russnow: Frank Eudy's 'Ouster' From Big Brother 14: Teacher Dan Gheesling and Student Ian Terry Displayed No Integrity

I think the author of this piece would be shocked too that people are taking this season seriously and that people are actually hanging onto these floaters' words...

"Dan said..."

"Ian wants to..."

"Jenn thinks..."

The comments on this link are BRUTAL to this season and its floaters. Nice to hear sanity from non-fanboys.

By the way guys.... one of the people on Big Brother's Production team worked for the WWF/WWE while Frank's dad was wrestling with the WWF/WWE. Can we now say that Frank was the producers' darling from the beginning and that his saving wasn't due to an "unexpected twist"?

- By the way, one of the production crew worked on WWF w/ Frank's dad, Sid Vicious. Anyone watching lived feeds/ Showtime After Dark can logically conclude production was in the tank for him as long as possible.

Shane won Pov (!)

I hope he's smart enough to take himself off which means Ian will have to nominate Danielle (if he wants to win he'll nominate Dan)

That tells you all you need to know this season. When Shane and Frank had to win, they usually won. when it counted. Pathetic cast.

Going for Shane.

If ANYONE is dumb enough not to use the POV on himself, it's Shane. It would be epic if Dan/Danielle could convince him he was safe and not to use it. This show is due for another awesome Marcellas Moment.

But assuming Shane isn't that gullible, Jenn is done. Not that anyone will miss her. And of course, characteristic of Jenn, her response to being in trouble is, "I'm gonna take a nap." She's been sleeping since the POV comp while the others are having a good time.

Jenn City? More like Jenn Shitty.

This of course would be a prime opportunity for Ian to backdoor Dan...except it won't work because Shane and Danielle would vote out Jenn. That's how you cover your bases folks.

For the "Competition Queens" and the Social Queens, an update. Other than Frank, all the people who've won competitions make up the final 5 and the person who's won the least of the 5 (Jenn) will most likely be evicted. Proves that winning competitions is important. All 10 of the people who haven't won a single competitions this season have left the game. Case closed, winning competitions when you need to is important in this game.

23 Competitions:
Shane: 3 HOH, 4 POV
Frank: 3 HOH, 3 POV
Ian: 3 HOH, 2 POV (Including Veto Ball POV)
Danielle: 1 HOH, 1 POV
Dan: 1 HOH, 1 POV
Jenn: 1 POV

Jodi: 0
Kara: 0
Willie: 0 (Unless you count the 1st HOH where he made 1 trip. It was mostly Shane making 2 trips and the last buzzer trip, plus he expelled so he doesn't really count.)
Jojo: 0 (Same as Willie)
Janelle: 0
Wil: 0
Boogie: 0
Ashley: 0
Britney: 0
Joe: 0

LMAO.

But Jenn, Danielle and the other floaters had a great social game. (That's Allison Grodner spin there.)

Shane just offered to do Danielle's make up for her.

Where have you been this whole season? I do love me a Jun shout-out.

And I do love me a Beatles-related screen name!

Jun is probably my favorite player ever. Smart, funny, sassy, gave great diary room, hated just about everybody in the house yet won the whole thing...and then went away and lived her life, instead of trying desperately to parlay her 15 minutes of reality TV fame into a reality TV career (coughcoughMikeBoogiecoughcough).

I couldn't agree with you more. LOATHE Mike Boogie. LOVE Jun. To me, she's right up there with Will and Dan as the three best winners. Remember how she used her cooking skills as a strategy? Take that Chef Joe.

And I'll never forget how Jun and Allison made their F2 deal to ensure an East Coaster won because "that West Coast bitch won last year." LOL.

For you ezwriter. Jun's awesome facial expressions during the jury vote reveal.

I love how Ali is so desperately trying to work her Miss America smile as the jury kills her while sitting next to her is Jun, unfazed and irreverent throughout the whole thing. <3

Also revelant to this discussion: Jun watches the first episode of BB4 nine years later and blogs about it.

See, that's the one thing I hate about Dr. Will: his alliance. People forget just how thoroughly vile that Chilltown alliance behaved throughout much of that season. Remember the bitch (was it Shannon?) who actually cleaned the toilet with another houseguest's toothbrush? It's been a long time, but I seem to recall a lot of that type of nasty, childish behavior that year, mostly from Chilltown, with Booger as the lead bully.

To me, Dr. Will almost stands apart from, rather than above, all the other winners, due to the fact that he genuinely did not give a shit whether or not he won the game. (Not hating, I actually found that attitude extremely refreshing). Being a Big Brother winner back then really didn't mean much, apart from the money, which he didn't desperately need. Reality competition shows were still a new thing back then. BB1 wasn't really seen as a success; the fact that there was even a BB2 was something of a surprise. So Will's nonchalance about the whole thing, which served him so well in the game, is something we've never seen since in a player, and will never see again. Jun is the only one who comes even remotely close to it, as evidenced by her almost ho-hum reaction to her win on that video.

BTW, I spent much of that season "lustin' for Justin". Now I'm looking at him like Aly, going "WTF was I thinking?"

I watched the first episode just now to follow along with Jun's blog. Dave was the hottest guy to me after watching it with a fresh set of eyes.

Shane winning the POV pretty much solidifies that Dani is in the F2. She's bound to be the default drag along.

Thanks for alerting me to her blog. I need Jun and Courtney (Survivor) to blog bitchily about every episode of BB and Survivor from now on.

Being a Big Brother winner back then really didn't mean much,

Being a Big Brother winner now doesn't mean much either! ;) That's why when players or fans take it too seriously, I always cringe. This is a stupid, trashy reality show unwatched by the vast majority of people, irrelevant to the pop culture conversation, and even people like me would never cop to watching it in public. (And that's also why going on and on about show rigging and the FCC seems silly and insane)

Except to the niche audience who watches it (myself included), Big Brother means as little now as it did when it premiered (possibly even less). Fans and players alike would do well to remember that.

I'm thinking about this and barring and unforeseeable event of Ian turning on him, I think Dan is pretty much a lock for at least the final three. If Shane wins the final HOH that means both the potential voters Danielle and Ian have F2 deals with Dan. If he wins HOH he's obviously safe. If Dani wins HOH the votes will come down to Shane or Ian and I don't see either of them working with each other over Dan.
