also fun fact: cbs cant stay away that Willie guy? the one with the pink shirt, the 'tankerman' is Russell Hantz's brother! for those of you who dont know russell hantz is a big villain on survivor and has played 3 seasons, never winning, and they also had is nephew on the show too, lol cbs loves this family.

also another fun fact, the gay guy Wil, auditioned for american idol a few years ago, doing one of those crazy auditions that ppl laugh at

and one more thing in the video that Adrock posted its rumored that the girl at the 2 to 3 second mark "kara" is kelly monaco's sister, kelly monaco is on general hospital and won the first season of dancing with the stars.

sorry for the long post just thought id post some fun facts i found out. and the returning players this season are Janelle, Boogie, and Dan, and i think one more but they arent 'playing' the game they cant technically win, they just mentor.

which sounds boring, watching them just tell the people how to play, how is that interesting?

I heard the mentors win $100,000 (or something) if someone from their team wins. It's clearly just mimicking where reality TV is now with all these talent shows with mentors (X Factor, The Voice, Duets). And it's still better than every original idea Alison Grodner has had since the first season.

well im currently watching big brother, currently going on in the uk, and they cast alot of younger people, and they fight and bicker alot more. it is enjoyable, but its long, as there is an episode on every day showing the highlights of the previous day, with the live eviction on friday.

also they are not allowed to talk about nominations, their format is the same as bb1, they go to the diary room name 2 people, and the 2 ppl with the most nominations face public vote, they were allowed to talka bout them the first 2 weeks, and then bb changed it cause the public hated it, so if you even mention about nominations you get punished.
 
Don't viewers vote off the contestants in the international versions? I guess BB1 US tainted that kind of format in my eyes forever. Although I'm sure foreign audiences are probably more willing to keep around obnoxious people for the entertainment value than Americans are.
 
here is the launch night of the current season, there have only been 4 evictions so far


and also uk is a little more leinent (sp?) cause they casted a guy (benedict) and he is a porn performer. and he talks openly about it with his housemates and its aired on tv, also last season there was a ton of male nudity in the house.
