When I said "I don't think he explicitly is associating homosexuality with pedophilia per se, but he's definitely implying that gay men shouldn't be allowed near children" just means he didn't say the words outright. I definitely think that's what he meant. Thought I made that obvious with the list
 
Jeff was homophobic in the beginning of BB11. This does not surprise me. I have not liked Cassi since she called Dom a fag.
 
I think Cassi said that because she has a rapport with Dom and Lowan and it was clearly a joke. That doesn't make it OK and she shouldn't be comfortable making that joke, but that's a FAR cry from a man arguing vociferously and with certainty that gay men shouldn't be allowed to chaperon children.

It's important to make distinctions.

You're right. I'd be SHOCKED if they include it, even though they should. For some reason, they always edit out the homophobic stuff on this show. When Ollie called Memphis a "faggot" repeatedly (and not in a joking way), they played with the sound and close-captioned it as "cabbage patch kid" which made no fucking sense.

And if they could do that for Ollie, they'll certainly do it for their pet, Jeff.

OMG. It's even worse when you see and hear it. If that makes sense. He is just so aggressively ignorant. I was surprised at how hostile he was about it.

Yes it's SO much worse than calling someone "fag" or whatever. He's REALLY angry at Kalia (you can tell) for making him look homophobic when the only person doing that is HIM. He really doesn't think there's anything wrong with conflating homosexuality and pedophilia and worst of all, he really believes this is OBVIOUS and that Kalia is just being a liberal nazi.

I don't mean to be repetitive, but yes, this is the part that really gets me. It's not just that he's a homophobe, it's that he really believes that everyone else feels this way and that Kalia is just not being real or whatever. It hasn't occurred to him that other people might genuinely think that gays and child-predators aren't the same thing. Wow.

Yeah, I was willing to overlook Jeff supposedly calling Russel a faggot in the middle of a fight in B11 because sometimes a person can blurt out something stupid in the heat of the moment. (Kind of like how I keep saying "retarded" accidentally even though I don't mean anything by it and am trying NOT to say it anymore.) But it's obvious after watching that fight that he DID mean something on a very fundamental level when he called Russel that in BB11.

I can't wait until he and Jordan have kids and maybe one of them turns out to be gay. Maybe his gay child and Jordan might be able to get it through his head then, but that's really the only way I can see it happening after those comments, and I doubt even then.
 
By the way, just to jump ship on this topic for a minute, has anybody else thought about the final week of the Golden Key? As I understand it (and please correct me if I'm wrong), they're giving out four Golden Keys which give you a pass to Top 10. If that's true, then by the time they get to the fourth key, it will be one week away from Top 10 anyway, no?

By that I mean, whomever survives eviction in the fourth week would automatically be in the Top 10 anyway, even without the golden key twist. So...what's the point of giving out that fourth keys?

No one in the house has considered this. Either they're just giving out three keys OR there's some other twist for the fourth Golden Key holder. Perhaps it will come with a Diamond Veto?
