Big Brother 13

But the thing I hate most is the group voting. It's almost always a unanimous vote. I wish people would think for themselves and vote how they want. But people are too careful about making themselves targets. I want to reckless houseguests!

Amen to that!

It does get pretty annoying when there are group alliances and one group ends up the rulers as they did last season. I would like people who make their own decisions and perform for themselves. I like over the top personalities and that's why I liked Rachel so much - hated Ragan who spent too much time crying over Matt's betrayal after belittling everyone else in the house for doing the same things . The two guys who ended up the f 2 was a little nauseating and that alliance was just as sickening.

I used to think it was best to cast super fans but Ive had a total change of heart. It is so lame when people are counting things and knowing exactly how to prepare. Every single word of this is exactly my feelings for the last several years.

I think that only describes BB12. BB10 and BB11 both had massively divided houses and were also much better seasons than BB12 because of it.

I also hate those horrible fan votes when it goes to someone who has sat on their ass and done nothing until they get the secret power that allows them to finally do something that they never could have done had they not received a secret power, as in the Jeff present that allowed him and Jordan to get off their lazy asses and win a game that neither had played until the secret power.

Oh dear god. Please don't remind me of Jeff and Jordan. the least deserving boneheads to ever play the game. There are winners I don't like personally (Evil Dick, Maggie, Mike Boogie) but they are the worst b/c they never did a damn thing.

When there are too many gameplayers the game is borign but it's just as bad when there are too many "floaters" (non-gameplaying floaters). BB is a game where it's easy to get by buy simply playing things week by week and not making anything actually happen. It's perfectly sound but it's boring as fuck.

I think in reality the best season are the ones where the houseguests genuinely hate each other and actively try to get rid of people. (Season 6 anyone ;) ) It's not entertaining enough for them to just care about getting by themselves they need to be actively trying to oust others and shift the attention. Otherwise it can turn into watching paint dry really fast.

I don't disagree that Jeff and (especially) Jordan did next to nothing. But I'd put Dick Donato in that same category. Had he not been given every unfair advantage in the book, he'd never have made it to the end. I even think his horrible daughter showed more skill (at times) than he did.

SO true! I think what everyone seems to be agreeing on in this thread is that there's a difference between people who play well and people who are entertaining. And it's way more entertaining to watch unskilled players going after each other like rabid bulldogs with one or two smart players waiting for them to take each other out.

Dani had A skill that let her advance in the game because she was BB8's Veto queen. Dick's only skill was being a disgusting human being who threw temper tantrums. Dani wins.

And then we have the perfect storm of a player who should never really win because she's loud and obnoxious and hilarious when she doesn't like you, yet she's still managed to get the victory twice. ;)

Also acceptable would be her Big Brother alter ego, an evil doctor who openly mocks everybody in the Diary Room, won once, and nearly won a second time despite saying that he hated everybody in the house upfront and telling all of the idiots to their faces that they shouldn't trust him.

I want lightning to strike again and for some of the new contestants to have both qualities!

Evil Dick benefitted from America's player because someone in that diary room convinced A P that it was a good idea to keep Evil rather than evict him as he had originally planned. The backstage manipulation is also something that annoys the shit out of me - and even though the 'voice' keeps telling them that they are not allowed to talk about DR sessions people have and have talked about how the DR tries to get them to change their vote.

Well as annoying or unfair as the regular audience intervention and stupid twists can be I'd be upset if the season was devoid of them, they're just as much a part of this franchise as anything else.

Look I'm definitely not a Dick fan (teehee) but he did manage to turn the entire house and audience against Jen. Which was crucial in the game. The general viewing audience hated her. The people who watched the feeds knew she was getting a bum rap. But the viewers kept voting her to be the victim of America's player b/c Dick had turned them against her. Even most of the housemates hated her and they had no idea why.

That has a lot more to do with editing IMO than anything that Dick could've done.

Evil Dick and Danielle and Dr. Will were my all time favorite players.

I don't have a problem with them being nasty, mean, cruel and unkind. Whatever it takes to win the game and entertain at the same time.

I really don't like when someone just floats, or is carried to the end. I realize that's not as easy to accomplish as it sounds but I just don't ever want them to win.

I felt like that's what happened last season with Hayden and Lane.
